I think they are on Firemaw Horde and missed the free transfer to gehennas.
Blizzard do not guarantee you can play on your realm. What’s the phrase, experience may vary or something like that.
Your options are,
- pay to move
- quit the game
- reroll on new server
- wait for Blizzard to act
while option 4) is the worst one. Trust me, I’ve waited 8 months for free transfer from a dead realm without any answer or help from Blizz. After my patience came to an end I decided to go with options 1) and 3) combined. I moved my main for 17,50 eur (was a transfer sale) and abandoned my alts on a dead realm. There is not much to do until wotlk, so I can use of the XP buff and reroll my alts.
All I can say, this was the best decision. I didn’t spend a fortune to move all my characters but still I am able to play on a populated realm.
But it stillsucks to pay more to be able to play when you paid already.
And players do not guarantee they can pay suscription if Blizzard continues massive unchecked migration policies.
I understand when they allowing dead realm players to consolidate on active realms, but when they destroy faction to unload Megarealm people are left behind and surely will loose faith in Megarealm stability.
And missed the free transfer move to Golemagg too. But why couldn’t they have the free transfer untill everyone are back from the summer vacation now we are like 20 hordes on Firemaw that ain’t getting anywhere we will be 99% of the time dead.
Well, because they didn’t finalise the plans until mid June, then they opened the free transfers, so you had 2 months to move. It’s not Blizzard’s fault you’re a procrastinator.

Did devs completely forget about Firemaw or? Its about time to open the server again, all the hordes moved after a massive mistake so now Firemaw is down to half the population of Gehennas but still its locked meanwhile the lower pop servers are litteraly dying or completely empty. Tried to transfare a horde even on a 99% alliance server, yet its locked meanwhile Gehennas is open for beeing even more overpopulated. Should atleast open for transfares now that alot of people need to move before Wrath launch.
They want Fresh servers to become the new populair servers. It makes them more money and it saves them more money.

Horde Firemaw here…just retuned.
Have 80k gold in which I can only pay to transfer a character with 5k gold with if I want to be able to actually play the game.
Seems pretty unfair considering blizzards screw up caused the horde on Firemaw to be completely decimated.
Need to know if new servers are opening or if transfers will be available SOON please.
Currently stranded here.

how is it possible, that Character Transfers to gehennas (paid service) is still possible even there are around 20k active raiding characters - but yet still firemaw is closed for transfer? this is ridiculous. i still have lvl 60 alts i wanted to transfer to firemaw (where i mainly play) to level them up during prepatch.
@kaivax could you guys please give an answer on that?

Because one of the two interns working on Classic forgot to turn it on again. Simple as that.

I always assumed there was only one intern, but you may be right.
And I want to transfer away from a dead server 
as firemaw horde side are. but i got back from summer vacation to late.

Honestly, this is becoming a joke…
We haven’t been able to migrate to Firemaw since forever.
Gehennas with, as of writing, 2x more population than Firemaw has open transfers. But Firemaw doesn’t. Devs definetly forgot about Firemaw.
As for us returning players wanting to get back to play with friends, we can’t migrate to the realm were our friends might play. We’re forced to reroll.
Seems like a really weird punishment when again, Gehennas has been open for a long time now with double the population.

It definetly doesn’t need locking.
It needs a company to listen to their community and their community is speaking about the issue.
Staying quiet, as you’re obviously suggesting seeing from your previous posts, isn’t the solution. Making your voice heard might not solve the problem, but definetly does more than being quite.
Ok since there are no free transfers from Firemaw then that is one major reason why it needs locking.
Besides an equivalent thread in the US was recently locked.
All it is now is people spamming freefiremawnow

Please allow us to have a paid character transfer TO Firemaw
This, so much this!! I and couple guildies decided to roll to firemaw for wotlk since Ashbringer is literally dead and before everyone got into the server blizz shut the door on our faces.
We have been waiting for months now and seems like our raiding and players are done since we cant get on the same realm.
Jesus Blizz pls open the server for paid tranfers…
I’m stucked at f firemaw. The online thing that allowed me to lvl up from 60+ is the fact that i’m playing rogue. Dungeons are really rare experience espesially that meeting another horde player is also rare. I had days of lvling that I hadn’t meet another player. Please let me out from this mad world your humpty dumpty Hurumbe
