Stormscale doesn’t have queues at all so its excluded from my reading
I think you just can’t go to the servers listed in the list that where having issues all week. Anything that hasn’t been having a queue seems to be fine.
It may well be, however. Many in this thread has tried exactly what I have been trying. Moving from Tarren Mill to Argent Dawn, saying it’s not working.
If the 50k cap or login-queues were the case, everyone would get the same options. However looking at peoples feedback in this thread, it does not seem to be consistent, which is why, I actually think it’s a bug,
And I’ve been able to reproduce it several times for the past hour or so.
I am getting that error on 3 of my characters. I hope they fix it before the free transfers close.
Honestly if it works I’m just happy to be off Draenor and Silvermoon and actually get to playing my main toons. Thats what we all want really isn’t it?

Just out of curiosity, where did you move to?

Stormscale and Outland. Both high pop but never had any issues from what I understand. There’s a blue post with a list of what servers where having issues. I’m sure it’s those that we can’t go to.
The issue ones are the ones that you can free transfer from. However, those are not the only ones that you cannot free transfer to. There are more that you cannot transfer to.
This happened before with character transfers. It was due to auctions you sold in the past, gold that should have came to you at the end of an auction was stuck in the nether and so classed as still at auction. It took them almost 3 weeks to fix it last time so don’t expect any changes anytime soon.
That is true. You can’t transfer to Ravencrest for example. I wonder if it’s just regular “full” servers that you can’t go to which will explain Stormscale and Outland being available as they are never always full.
Whell that cant be. The character i tried has not put anything on auction, since i had an ah/bank alt that did that.
Even tried on my low level alt but same error on all characters it seems
My theory is that they excluded all servers that are above a certain population threshold, around 50k from what I tested. This is just speculation however.

Yeah my Ally Warror and DH wasn’t able to be transferred due to the same issue yet I’ve not played them in months. I deleted whatever mail I did have and it still didn’t work yet when I stripped my Horde DK of her heirlooms it worked perfectly fine. Or maybe that’s the game telling me to switch to Horde lol.

Either way if it works I’m just glad that I’ll be able to level my Horde toons for the first time in a week or so. I’ve been itching to get on my Warrior and get her situated.

I’m just slightly surprised they didn’t really prepare for this, for the highest servers during launch. Free Transfers from Max → Medium/Low servers should’ve been there from launch.
I imagine a lot of people had their launch screwed cuz of lag/waiting time etc.
For me, it’s been the smoothest and best launch ever, but then again. I really hope one day Blizz will merge my server again, because I rather want a 10-20min queue and slight lagg from time to time, than seeing an empty Auction House to be honest.
But I’m happy for everyone who get a 2nd chance on a new server. I’m still sad I spent so much money in Wotlk moving 9-10 characters from a Dead realm, to a High pop realm, that’s now shrinking each time Blizz makes another discount.
At least it feels that way

Had Horde characters on Alliance populated realm for like 6 years. This time it allowed me to move my main horde character to another high populated realm (It’s in the queue right now), and hopefully will be able to move other two, since my mage is basically my bank character…
“Auction” problem doesn’t let me move my DH and MAGE

I am too. This toon is actually 60(forum’s being slow to update) and my only 60 due to my mains being on Draenor and Silvermoon so I’ve not been able to play much but am grateful that I had an alt on a server that wasn’t having issues. At least I don’t have to go through the storyline again. That’s always a plus. Eventually she’ll be transferred to Outland though to join everyone else.
How long do the transfers take? I can’t be bothered doing it now if I can’t play for 8 hours.
