its almost funny that on the exact opposite of my server (a dead one till recently, though not sure thats changed?) that they cant get things right. they cant fix full servers and cant fix broken ones!
exactly. warhammer online got it right (at least in this regard!) all the way back in 2008 or whenever. capping servers PER FACTION! its then up to people what faction they want to play. admittedly, with WAR, there was a big difference which faction you chose, but in WoW since TBC its only aesthetic.
yeah, speaking from experience, you wont have log in queues
tbh, that is a bit hostile, especially when heâs basically right? whatever the reason, there is an issue with the stability of WoWâs servers. whoever tries to deny that is just delusional, a troll or a tunnel vision-ed fan. whether it is queues on high pop, dead on low pop or lag when lots of people in one area, they just dont seem able to provide a decent service in that aspect. ok, over all it is probably rare enough, but the times when it DOES hit are pretty crucial times: expansion & patch launches and time sensitive events.
this coupled with other complete failures related to population such as WM, sharding etc just proves a point that either the technology is just too old and not capable to work in 2021, blizz REALLY dont care, or a combination.
if AH was regionwide, players could trade cross server and players could join guilds cross server, then actual servers would not matter, and people could be migrated wherever to balance numbers.
Cause really, those 3 things are all that are important for an enjoyable gameplay experience.
For everything else, theres mastercard.
