Mograine is dead for Alliance thanks to Blizzard’s policies of free transfers and faction changes. There are no other ways how to move my characters out of the server other than paying for a transfer or a faction change.
Don’t get me wrong, if it was just one character, I wouldn’t care But as it’s more, purchasing a separate transfer for each character is just ridiculous.
As a protest I’ll be posting here in this thread every day, until either Blizzard opens the free transfers, or until they move my characters
So… without further ado…
Day 1 of asking for Free Transfer out of Mograine for my Alliance characters.
That’s Blizzard for you.
They give discount on realm transfer in retail where realm matters only for forming/finding guild, while practically all the group activities can be performed cross-realm, while on Classic they create the environment that encourage players to gather on mono-faction realms, often forced to purchase realm transfer in order to find enough players for group content if they happen to be on wrong faction side of their realm.
As someone who started his journey in classic era on Ashbringer and thus was eventually forced to transfer to “Migraine” somewhere around the of WotLK phase 1, I’ve already resigned on this.
I’ve paid for the transfer of main char and one alt that I play the most to Mirage Raceway few week ago, then moved the rest of my chars to Hydraxian Waterlords.
Maybe they close the last remaining RP realm after all, then I might be able to transfer everything to Mirage Raceway. If not, then it does not matter on which realm they are stuck.
I feel no motivation to play those alts on empty realm, and I think about just throwing away all the gold for riding skill, dual talent and everything, and simply re-roll the character again on my current realm.
Yeah, I totally see how they artificially create a situation they can monetize.
Though I would really be surprised if the money on subs from people that left the game would be less than what they earn this way. Maybe it’s just my social bubble, but I know dozens of people that just stopped playing completely rather than paying the transfer fee.
I started Wotlk on Golemagg. But it died for the Alliance, so I transferred through a free transfer to Ashbringer Where I spent the first phase… and then with you I moved to Mograine where my characters are currently parked.
If we could get at least the transfer bundle for christ sake

Fully agree mate, same here, also stuck on Mograine a Horde dominated server ( 99.9% is horde ) and Blizzard doesn’t care about their paying customers.
Blizzard it’s your game, your servers, wake up, do something for Alliance players on Mograine!!
Insane how careless Blizzard is, the only thing they care about is our wallets.
But as it’s more, purchasing a separate transfer for each character is just ridiculous.
