Using the 2022 Asus ROG G14 Zephyrus, fully updated Windows and Graphics Drivers. Monitor as main screen, laptop to the side.
Since about a week, every 10-20 mins, WoW tends to completely freeze anywhere between 2 and 10 seconds.
But! If I quickly click outside the game, on the laptop screen, WoW unfreezes instantly.
First I thought it’s AddOns, but it happens on the character selection screen too.
Sounds like an overlay may at times be “hijacking” primary control of the window the game is running in, and basically freezing the display of it (hence it unfreezing when clicking outside).
The “usual suspects” in these cases would be Nahimic, Overwolf, Discord and the ASUS ROG/Armorycrate software - uninstalling them one by one (in the case of Discord the overlay can also just be disabled via its configuration) might prove helpful.
