Freezing Winds Bug fix

It was very recently pointed out to us in Hogwarts by one of its students, who wishes to remain anonymous, as he or she isn’t a karmafarmer, that for the freezing winds bug that has existed for literally years can easily be fixed, especially now with the recent hotfix to make frozen orb more static.

Paraphrasing him or her, “the FW bug can easily be fixed by amending the buff to a standard 12s duration when frozen orb is thrown, instead of basing it on the existence of a frozen orb.”

As such, you have no excuse not to hotfix this by next week, otherwise it shows you do not care at all about the spec or its playerbase.

You have one week. Make your choice.

It might be spaghetti code that no one dares touch in fear of breaking something else.

However, I think what happens is that a software team reviews the bug database and the manager asks: “How often does this happen in normal gameplay and what are the consequences?” And of course the answers are: “Very rarely” and “Most of the time the player will not even notice”…

realistically all they need to do is change it so that it applies a buff when frozen orb spell is thrown.

and what a complete shame that they cant read that its happening every dungeon, every day for every player. smh
