Alysea things like Mythic plus are not gated. Some players never touch the campaign once, it depends what the player wants to do.
I would always recommend doing the campaign at least once, however it is player choice. You are locked out of various things not doing the campaign, and are really limiting yourself.

Well, someone told me he couldn’t even take a key from Lindormi, they’d also have no access to the emerald dream, you need to do the opening of the questline to even use the portal(so the raid too, basically, unless summoned, etc.). Sure, you technically can, but it’s such a pain.
Yes the Emerald Dream requires unlocking as I said but anyone can join a key. There is no unlock.
Do see if Shandris is in Valdrakken for you and offers you any quests. I do believe some skip may have been added but I’d have to double check.
The skip pops if you’ve done it once. You can use an item that comes from the emerald dream starter
Friends started more recently and they got to skip a huge chunk of campaign. I had to give them a list of where to find the actual campaign because they are very story driven and didn’t want to miss it.
You are confusing that with the skip for alts.
Gentlemen thank you very much for your help once again, a small update. I did the campaign and the quest appeared, everything is fine:) Do I have to do this campaign on other characters also? or is it one time?

But it won’t be necessary anymore
Also when leveling up your alts now 60-70, the whole map will be open for you so you can cherry pick which zone to level up in the moment you land in the waking shores.

Do the Emerald dream campaign aswell on your main.
As you get a crafted gear upgrade at the end of it, plus you unlock a bunch of weeklies that reward decent starter gear
I’ve only ever done the campaign on my main and the rest still have access to most things. The only thing my alts can’t do is choose the Superbloom as their weekly quest despite being able to do the Superbloom because it wants me to do the intro. I don’t care on alts so I just do the superbloom for loot and do the other quest from ValD for weekly.
It’s because I’m too lazy and find it too dull to repeat it for every 70 I have
