So I have been feeding my friendly Alpaca for 7 days in a row, and didn’t get any reward for it.
On Wowhead some suggest that the quest can’t be hand in while in raid group.
I wish Blizzard would tell us what’s going on?

Is not being able to do quests in a raid still a thing?
Why is the quest even completable when in a raid?
Questions I would like someone at Blizzard to answer!
Same here ! Maybe its a feed me for 7 days on the 8th im yours
On the 8th day here and no it doesn’t seem like it
Ive been feeding him everyday since patch launch day! Oh so Im on the 8th day too, maybe 9th ?
Looks more like yet another “oopsie” from Blizz.
Just 8.3 things…
Because its not 7days! Its 7years
I’m not saying that alpacas are smart, what I am saying is that you all got played by an alpaca…
I’m not impressed, and if I have to do it all again in five man groups, such joy.
I sent in a GM ticket today and got a reply:
Hey there! Game Master Kieulas here!
I read your ticket about the Springfur Alpaca and Gersahl Greens!
At the moment, completing these feeding quests in a raid group will not provide any credit for your feedings for this Alpaca - just like completing most other content while in a raid group. However, it’s pretty confusing for this situation specifically, so our Dev crew is working on changing it up for this Alpaca in the future.
For now, continue feeding the Alpaca while not in a raid group and you’ll earn credit normally and eventually pick up the mount! If you’d fed the Alpaca while in a raid group multiple times, you might have some catch-up to do.
But, that’s one hungry Alpaca, so you’ll eventually receive the mount - just keep at it!
My apologies for the bother in the meantime.

absolutely trash.
Blizzard isn’t even bothered to explain how their game works in game now.
That doesnt make any sense. Why does it have to be so difficult and unintuitive for something that feels like the only good thing about the patch for a lot of people?
Rubbish.
I agree it’s not been a fun discovery. People were bound to form raid groups for something that is so hard to find and disappears within a short time.
Not only that, the mob has more than 5 spawn locations. So a raid is the logical choice to hunt for it.
Very poor decision from Blizzard.
Yeah it’s just insane this isn’t working because people formed raid groups. I haven’t seen a five man group listed since day 1
And its the 5 man groups that got the Alpaca mount from cheesing out a bug on that first day. Guess being a good boy isnt very rewarding.
Now I’m wondering: what happens if you fulfill all objective for any quest, join a raid group, and then turn it in?
Because whatever happens there, regularly, should happen with the Alpaca, no?
And how come the Voldun alpaca that you feed one time isn’t a problem in a raid?
This script will tell you your progress on the alpaca
/dump GetQuestObjectiveInfo(58881,0,false)
Wait what? I’ve been feeding it for 6 days and was looking forward to tomorrow. This is so annoying. I wonder what else shall we find out about this patch… And I was defending it 3 days ago.
According to that script I am 3/7 since I been feeding on the day one of the patch.
