When I dispel a friendly target it resists really often. For example I want to dispel Frost Nova or Sheep of my friendly player but it will just resist and not go off. Only after 3 dispel casts I can get mages polymorph off.
This is one of the things that players never asked for to be introduced into the game like Tornadoes in Nagrand Arena. Tornadoes are getting removed in season 2. So can we also get rid off this useless and never existing string of code that makes dispel a worst ability in the game because I have to think twice if it’s worth dispelling a sheep or will it again resist for 3 globals?
It is a really annoying mechanic that has been added into the game with “#somechanges”.
Please start playing the game yourselves or at least tune into WoW players streams from time to time to get a better feeling of what players want and dont want. Thank you.
P.S. When are we getting Swift Spectral Tiger introduced?
This is the evidence of Blizzard fixing something that did not need fixing. Thank you very much for making RNG game even more RNG. I heard FF14 has a free 1 month trial.
RNG is intended, they are many talents that work with RNG.
Many talents exist that make it harder for opponents to dispels your buffs or debuffs.
So how sure are we that it’s a bug?
As a paladin you get into a lot of problems because a paladin mainly works with buffs and they get purged or stolen… then you get full dots from an affliction lock with the talents that protects his dots so the paladin can spam clease and it might do nothing…
Paladins have talent as well that adds 30% chance that buffs won’t get dispelled.
Druids have something like this too.
Yes i know and those talents shall work as intended. But in the post I linked above some intern developer got offended by a commented out code and added it to the game so now we get dispel resists on spells like Sheep and Frost Nova. Mages do not have any talents for dispel protection that make sheep dispel resist 3 times in a row.
The problem is that there is a SUPER OBVIOUS bug where if you get resisted once, it chains a huge amount of resists afterwards. E.g. vs druids with 30% dispellresist, there isnt a game where I don’t get like a 6+ chain, and 8-9+ chains happen frequently vs them too. Anybody with Math 101 and a calculator knows the odds of 6+ chains are already insanely low, let alone 8-9
Ok to explain it to you. The blue post says that it was intended to be in the game but it never worked. And then the guy who worked on Classic WoW decided that it is a splendid idea to introduce it the current game. Same as they did with Tornadoes in Nagrand Arena. Literally nobody asked for it. It is not a cool change, it is really stupid RNG that affects not only PvP but also the PvE aspect of the game as Wórm replied earlier it is stupid to dispel slow effect on Aran and it won’t go off causing people to die.
ive yet to have dispell resist as a prot paladin in pve, but i can see where you are all coming from, adding bs rng factors to the game just to troll you is not good
This was not in the original game. I always used felhunter to dispell crap of myself and this always worked unless the player had dispell protection of some sort.
Now even the dots from SL/SL locks stay on through dispell. It was never like that in the original wow.
tbcc is starting to look more and more like an amateur private server experiment. reminds me of tbc privates where rogues had to gem spell pen to land/not resist their poisons lol
