Whenever I go into a dungeon and turn on friendly nameplates (shift + v) it comes up with the worst nameplates and healthbars for friendly players that I’ve ever seen. The only way to fix this is just turning it off. I can’t seem to change the settings for it anywhere. Any ideas?
True. I use Plater addon for nameplates. Took me hours to set up how I wanted it to be, but the friendly nameplates in dungeons default to some ugly old vanilla blizzard nameplates.
I’ll try plater then, just so many settings to go through. Did you manage to get friendly nameplates in dungeons to work? I’m seeing a lot of issues by players saying addons don’t change friendly nameplates in dungeons for technical reasons. Is this true?
I’m partial to flyPlateBuffs even if it hasn’t been updated in a long, long time.
Yea, that’s what I mean. I tried different nameplate addons, but no one could change the friendly nameplates in dungeons. I don’t know why that is.
Star Augur Etraeus + Weak Auras = no more modifications to friendly nameplates in dungeons/raids.
Elvui forever
Oh, so people used some weak auras to cheese a mechanic and blizzard just blocked any modification to friendly nameplates after, I guess?
I use threatplates. Sometimes my screen just get flooded with enemy nameplates, from mobs above and below, to a point that I am not sure what I am actually fighting.
Is plater better?
Not an addon problem afaik. Blizzard hard locked the nameplate range to 60y and the only option to not get flooded by nameplates everywhere is to show nameplates for mobs that are in combat only. I had to turn this option on and off for close quarter dungeons like Karazhan.
Something like that.
