Friends activity

Back in BFA i was getting alot of notifications when my friends were joining or creating the groups using LFG tool. Something like “your friend Bob has joined group +15”. But now i dont see these notifications, and i can’t find a way to enable them anywhere in game settings.
Can someone help me out ? Thanks.

i still can get these kind of notifications…maybe some kind of option you simply turned off?
sadly i cant help right now

Hmm could be an option or an addon.

I can’t see anything obvious in settings, might have to do some digging.

Is it the same on all characters?

It might be Elvui. I found something called “quick join messages”. Might be what im looking for. So far i haven’t seen any notifications, but i guess i have to just sit and watch. Thanks for answers
Update. This feature is not a part of elvui. It is called quick join, and another name of it toast messages. I found alot of threads with people trying to disable these messages, but i need to look in opposite direction

What are ‘Friends’ ?

I had these in Dragonflight for the 1 week I ran without most of my UI, when I just straight up scrapped most AddOns I got that then once I reinstalled most of them I’ve never seen it since. Most likely it’s a UI changing AddOn (Elv for example) that is removing it for you.

I think is Elvui. I went from Elvui to Blizz UI this season and now I get all the notifications and such.

My guess is that you use a non-standard UI. If you do make sure it allows ‘toasts, prompts and events’. Your friends-list is now also divided into two by default, the “I want to know about these” section, that is called favourites or something. And the “They could be facebook friends”, that means you get no prompts and is where people default too.

If you use bogstandard WoW UI like myself, it works as you describe still. Yet, it won’t spam you like it did, there now seems to a at least 10sec delay between popups. So your screen is no longer cowered with “A has signed up for B” “C has signed up for D” and so on.

Its either a setting or an addon. I dont get these notifications on my rogue but i do get them constantly on my warrior. I believe both my toons use the same settings but the activated addons are different.

I used to get them but, having seen this thread, it reminded me I don’t any more. It wasn’t an add-on, it was part of the Blizzard UI. I guess it’s possible I turned it off but I don’t think so. Will investigate later when I’m in WoW.

This would be my guess.
