Frost Death Knight - Blood of the North Passive not working

I am unsure when exactly the issue happened or what caused it to happen. I noticed during BoT last night i felt a bit Runic Power/Rune starved. Logged on today and felt a bit the same until I realised that I wasnt using the Blood Runes, and then it clicked that they’re supposed to be Death Runes.

Blood Tap doesn’t convert them into Death Runes, they just stay as Blood Runes too. Ive relogged and zoned into instances and it doesnt seem to reset.

For some reason, the Blood of the North passive is not working.

I double-checked and its not my UI displaying it incorrectly either, I have intentionally spammed Obliterate and it doesnt use the runes. I used Blood Strike and it uses the runes just fine as you would expect for a Blood Rune. It doesnt convert to Death Rune after either though.

I have already submitted the bug report.

Posting to see if we can dig around and see if there is a specific reason that is causing this. I noticed on US forums they seemed to have the same issue zoning into Arena.

I have the same issue. Apprently it seem to be a bug. Hope they fix it soon

Hey, ive submitted numerous bug reports for this to try get it to be fixed. The only work around i have found js changing spec via duel spec and then changing back

omg i thought i was losing my mind, my dps and skills have been all over the place today and wasn’t able to do as many skills as yesterday :confused: but switching spec worked. im so glad i found this post lol

This is really frustrating as it happens anytime you join arena as frost, forcing you to remember to respec every single game back and forth just to play it

My lvl 73 Frost DK has the passive working properly, weird

I have simmilar issue on blood when i go into AQ40 sometimes - my Outbreak reverts to have 1 min cd and no other blood passives seem to work too, unless i respec twice. So i think this is not just a frost dk issue

Been sometime since I posted.

I noticed that my runes were changing everytime I got disconnected from WoW. I would then log in and nothing would work, so would need to log back out to character screen and then go back in and everything worked fine.

Ive not heard anything to say this has been looked into or fixed yet though.

U can respec into your 2nd spec and then respec back, it works for me everytime the bug appears!
