Frost Death Knight Feedback and Suggestion

I really love Frost Death Knight with dual-wield, it is only reason for me to play in WoW. And I happy for those who wanted 2h for FDK. Below are my suggestions for Frost specialization.

  1. So I see many players want big “Obliterate” damage. But it is our generator, like “Sinister strike”. In that position “Obliterate” never doing strong damage.

But If Blizzard swap “Obliterate” and “Frost Strike”, so FS to generate “runic power” and Obli to spend “runic power”, In this position they could do “Obliterate” to more damage. And then add to “Killing machine” free use of “Obliterate”, without any “runic power”.

1a) “Frost Strike” use two runes and generate 20 runic power. Critical “Frost Strike” has a chance to activate “Killing Machine” (no more auto attack for “Killing Machine”), this also will balance proc of “Killing Machine” for 2h weapon.

2a) “Obliterate” consume 40 runic power to deal 160% of Attack power Physical damage.

So, increase costs to increase damage.

  1. “Howling blast” does not do enough damage. How I see to fix it: increase ”Rime” bonus from 300% to 900%.

2a) “Rime”, change to “Obliterate has a 100% chance (50% chance for Frostscythe) to cause your next Howling Blast to consume no runes and deal 900% additional damage.”

  1. “Frost Fever”…just redistribute its damage to other place. And add “Frost Fever” movement slow effect. So “Frost Fever” not damaging, but slow targets by 40-50% for 6-7sec.

  2. Random in resourse generating by “Runic Empowerment” passive is hated evil.

How I see to fix it: each “Obliterate” instantly grant you a rune.

  1. “Frostwyrm’s Fury” not so great for 3 min cooldown. So, change cd to 2min and damage to 200% AP or cd to 1min and damage to 100% AP.

  2. We have too many buffs on Global Cooldown. So, off gcd for “Pillar of Frost” or move “Pillar of Frost” ability into the talent “Icecap”. If “Pillar of Frost” move into the talent, it will provide an opportunity to strengthen other skills.

  3. “Empower Rune Weapon” just weak for burst buff with 2min cooldown. So add 15% increase all damage or increase Haste from 15% to 40%.

Talents:

1st Tier

Severe imbalance in this tier. My understanding of balance: burst great for short period, but lose 50% efficiency in long fight. Example if Burst deal 100 damage every 2min, then not burst with frequent use should do 150 damage in the same 2min.

“Inexorable Assault”, just bad. Replace it with “Crystalline Swords” artifact ability. (Your melee attacks have a chance to create icy copies of your weapons, which will then stab and pierce your foes.)

“Icy Talons” is too weak compared to “Cold Heart”. So, how I see to fix it: Your “Frost Strike” increase your melee attack speed by 25% for 6sec, stacking up to 3 times. Or 8% Haste for 6sec, stacking up to 3 times.

4th Tier

“Avalanche”, how I see to fix it: Frost Strikes causes jagged icicles to fall on your target and Enemies nearby, dealing 25% of Attack power Frost damage.

“Frozen Pulse”, just delete “fewer than 3 full Rune” and increase damage to 10% AP.

“Frostscythe”, change “in front of you” to nearby enemies (around you). Cost 25 Runic power, increase damage to 65% AP. So, “Attack that strikes up to 5 nearby enemies for 65% of Attack power Frost Damage. This attack benefits from Killing Machine. Critical strikes with Frostscythe deal 4 times normal damage.”

5th Tier

“Permafrost”, just up it. Add stacking up to 4 times for 20sec. So, “Your auto attack damage grants you an absorb shield equal to 50% of the damage dealt, stacking up to 4 times for 20sec.”

6th Tier

“Gathering storm”, add 50% increased damage to “Remorseless Winter”. So, “Increase damage of Remorseless Winter by 50% and each rune spent during Remorseless Winter increase its damage by 10%, and extends its duration by 0.5sec.”

Or replace it with artifact talent “Frozen Soul” - When Remorseless Winter ends, releases a burst of [ 40% of Attack Power ] Frost damage, increased by 100% for each additional enemy you hit during Remorseless Winter.

“Glacial Advance”, change cost to 2 runes and increase damage to 65% AP.

7th Tier

“Icecap”, add effect of azerite trait “Icy Citadel”.

“Obliteration” if apply changes above and move “Pillar of Frost” into Icecap talent, so make “Obliteration” talent as ability with 15sec duration and 45sec cooldown. So if changes above will be apply, “Obliteration” will be really strong talent. “When Obliteration is active, Frost Strike and Howling Blast always grant Killing Machine”.

“Breath of Sindragosa”, so many players hate this ability, players really hate it, but use, hate it and use it. So, just change effect of this ability to effect of “Essence of the Focusing Iris”. So, animation from “Breath of Sindragosa” and other from “Essence of the Focusing Iris”. Channeled for 3sec to deal 300% AP Frost damage to all enemies in front of you. Castable while moving.”

Runes:

1)“Rune of Razorice”. Why so insignificant damage? Just delete this damage or up it to 20% of auto attack damage as Frost damage.

  1. Make possible to enchant two different runes on Two-handed weapons.
