Saw method guys are using Mastery + Versa ? Why mages are doing so low dps lately? Maybe we should change to arcane in this patch? If someone can share me his dps and stats i would be happy. My sims are telling me that i do 22 395 dps with 24% crit 11% haste 17% mastery and 8% versa. Pawn is telling me that this are the best items that i have. So pls tell me what should i do.
Logic is telling us that we should focus on capping crit at 33% so we can have 100% shatter chance, followed by haste. Mastery is AoE stat and Ver is trash for Frost, but good for Fire.
Just sim it I suggest.
Simcraft tells, youshould add roughly 450 crit, at that point it loses against each other stat which are scaling at the same speed.
Would mean haste and versatility for speed and reduced damage taken.
So what should i do? I just simmed every items possible with different combinations…u are telling me that i need to go much crit?
Crit cap isn’t as important atm. Just sim your stat weights but obvs talents and azerite gear will effect this. GS build is favouring mastery slightly while TV mastery is the weakest stat. That being said there’s so little in it that ilvl is usually the winner even with rings.
I just wrote all this assuming you are playing frost?
ye i am playing frost , i play with GS and splitting ice , i use very flash freeze azerite (icicles) . So ur telling me that i should go for mastery ?
From the sims I’ve seen mastery is slightly ahead on that but yh but it might be dependant on other stats too. You don’t really need to stack anything because the difference between 5ilvls is usually more than difference between secondaries. For gems and enchants you need to sim your stat weights, easiest way is to do it on the raidbot website imo.
if i have a ring 390 and best secondaries vs ring. 420 worst secondaries… how it is the highest ilvl better? what ilvl gives you?
Depends on the weights. More of the worse offstats can still be better than less of the best stats.
Simple Example;
200 Crit weight 1.1
200 Haste weight 1.0
= 420
230 Mastery weight 0.9
250 Vers weight 0.9
= 432
