Why does frostfire bolt update frost bolt which is already in toolbar for frost mages. But in fire spec not only does it NOT replace fireball it also removes it from the spec???
What do you mean?
The only wrong is that blizzard miss to change it in the tooltip for fire spec. Frostfirebolt still says “replace frostbolt”, but for both specc ffb replace the other spell = for fire Fireball, for frost Frostbolt.
When in frost spec, frostfire bolt actually replaces standard frost bolt spell. Which is already used regularly so would be in your action bar by default.
In fire spec, frostfire bolt still binds to frost bolt, but activating it also completely removes fireball from the build. So it’s not in the spellbook and macro’s using it error out.
Now I appreciate that I can adapt the macro to use frostfire bolt. I just don’t understand why it ONLY binds to frostbolt and not fireball as well making it easier to use in either spec.
