I turned on war mode yesterday to muck about with talents and I completely forgot to turn it off and I flew out to the super bloom. My server is horde dominated and usually has like 10-1 advantage so I never turn it on as much as I’d like too.
So I didn’t have time to go back to valdrakken and turn it off so I hung back.
First thing, hardly any one was doing it so only got a tier 1 bag from blooms.
I managed to hang back all the way to the end boss and didn’t get bothered by the horde. Then the boss was down to his last 15 percent and I got ganked by a mage and rogue and because I died I left the superbloom and got nothing. Sooo much time for nothing, I had waited 30 mins for it to start as well.
Warmode off permanently, and alt f4 for the night what a waste of time lol.
I don’t feel like the zones been really quiet though.
Ugh, PvP… I think you can turn WM off at any inn, though. So if this ever happens again, just go to the inn at the main hub and opt out. No need to Hearth to Valdrakken.
Yeah, there’s a bit of Doctor my head hurts when I hit it with a hammer about that. I rarely turn warmode on but I have done so and forgotten too, I put it on doing Darkmoon Faire as it’s a Sanctuary zone and have left it on my mistake and been ganked.
You can turn Warmode Off at any rest area so you could pop down to the Inn in ED.
Also if you die and the boss is at 10% or so, just lie there, don’t release, and when the boss dies you’ll get credit and loot. It’s silly that the game works that way, it encourages poor behaviour as you get rewarded for just lying there and letting others kill the boss.
SL was terrible for casual Warmode because of the way PvP gear worked.
DF is terrible for Warmode because the group events are not Warmode compatible. If you’re minority Warmode faction on your server / shard, you need repeatedly turn it off and back on again depending on the content you want to do. This could be very easily fixed by applying the Community Feast coding to events like the Superbloom.
