In the past 4-5 months i believe i started having these issues when the game launches and then out of the blue the screen gets darker but the game is playable but when i exit the game my window colors are all messed up. White colors are super bright and text is jagged a little. All this started when WoW started using Windowed mode, I’ve used other games to test this but this only happens to WoW apparently. I wrote a ticket to support today and they said that no-one reported this issue so it it’s me i guess. Anyone encountered this behavior when launching WoW lately? And yes i have the latest Nvidia drivers

That is an odd issue you are describing. Let’s go through a few steps, and see what we can find. Let’s start by checking the power management settings, and ensure that no other applications are active in the background while testing.

Reinstalled the lastest windows version, updated the drivers and deleted the cache and wtf folder and the screen goes slightly darker when i enter WoW.exe and when you try to mute the speaker in-game the screen flickers for 1sec with a black color every time i try to lower the sound volume from the keyboard. So far windows colors are fine atm, colors are alright… not washed like the previous windows version
Edit2: I have High performance option in the power management settings and no other app was running in the background
Since 8.1.5 I have had major issues with my game window resetting the window size from 1920 x 1050 to custom. I have tried various things (as this is making porting, using the HS or changing zones a pita) but without any solution to the problem.
