I love enha shammy. Deleting a mob within a second with Windfury procs is very satisfying. However, this might not be fun for everyone, it’s still RNG and I have no control over those procs.
Prot warrior is super fun to level. The mobility and just general gameplay is amazing. Dungeon tanking is easy enough and very engaging!
Ret is just too easy and boring to play. Completely brain dead spec designed for human pve Andy’s and they’re most of the time the reason why alliance lose every BG. Anyone with self respect would choose another class/spec.
You are thinking about classic pala lol, I’ve never leveled so fast even with mage during som.
And if you play alliance you also get the buffed shadowmeld so it’s basicly impossible to die. If you’re about to die just use shadowmeld to drop combat and then go stealth in cat.
It’s also a very nice ability to use in pvp. A well timed shadowmeld can stop incoming burst or evade CC such as death coil.
Ret get crusader strike at 40 and divine storm at 50. Before that, it’s pretty much auto attack with the occasional judgement (but not too often or you’d run out of mana)
Sounds like you got burned out at monoplaying one class/ role.
Level a hybrid as an alt , its fun to be able to switch roles. For me druid is more fun than paladin since you have movement and stealth (downside you cant wear plate/ shields).
(Hybrids only have one damage spec, so lategame you are more limited than your mage)
Hey mon.
Zabra hasn’t been leveling many different classes in a while. Certainly not in Wrath. But I can tell you shadow priests are a lot of fun once you are around level 40 and then up from there.
Admittedly, priests in general start of weak and slow compared to a hunter, warlock and mage. But once you’ve got some proper shadow spells (shadowform), you’ll have a fun and easy time leveling. Great in pvp, too, if you’re into that.
Another similar story is the feral druid. Slow to start with, but extremely efficient and versatile once you’ve got your cat form.
Other honorable mentions are hunters, warlocks and shamans with their absurdly huge toolkit and utility. Full of depth.
actualy unholy DK, if you can play one, is super good and fun just rotting everyone with diseases and spreadin them with pestilence, while using death strikes to never go low health, you should literaly pull every mob in shight.
You must manage rune CD’s instead of individual skills of your normal rotation, so it may not be for you, you also need a good WA/ TMW set up to play it properly.
Honorable mentions: ret pala starting only at lvl 60, any spec hunter, frost mage, affli lock, feral druid
Ive leveled a Mage, shaman, priest, hunter to 70. A rogue to 65 and several druids to 40ish… also a paladin to 30 ish…
Mage is lots of fun. And at 70 you have a lot of tools. Shaman is nice… priest is nice. Hunter is nice too, but a little “boring” as its basically send pet and autoattack… (you have traps etc. that makes it more interesting. its a really nice farming class thoug… can easily sit watch tv and level or farm with your hunter)
If I was starting all over, and had to pick one… I think it would be a druid. They can do everything.
The most boring of them all in my opinion is the Paladin but I only took it to 30is and many say it becomes very nice later (so I will have to level it further to see)…
I mained a mage for a long time and they are a class you have to make fun - not one that is fun out of the box.
Kind of similar to priest… although with priest you do risk it never actually being fun for you as I found.
If you want smooth and fun gameplay right from the get go I can’t recommend Warlocks or Druids enough. They both feel very refined and efficient.
Just make liberal use of Life tap on lock
The damage “rotation” while leveling, simply killing 1 mob at a time, is boring with pretty much any class in classic. They are all very slow and don’t have much APM. What can be interesting is the utility outside of that rotation, and how to play against more than 1 opponent.
It takes about level ~40-50 for most classes to become interesting, and some remaining forever boring vs mobs.
If you cannot stand how slow it is… honestly play a DK. You start at level 55 and will have much more to do.
Another option is the PTR: it is still up and you’ll be able to try out any class straight at level 70.
I never killed less then 3-4 mobs with my paladin now during pre patch. Its honestly face roll.
THX for all answers! I am trying druid, it’s little slow but soon I get the cat form. I will see what happen then
Rogue or warrior is funniest to level from scratch
