Fury dual 1H or 2H

The title really says it all.

Is it better to dual wield 1Handers or 2Handers?

Which does more damage?

Name every benefit from 1H and 2H that you can.

Why is it better than the other?

Thanks!

Here’s a post on Wowhead for you.

To quickly answer your question, with a quote from within the article itself:

  • Single-Minded Fury: While dual-wielding a pair of one-handed weapons, your damage done is increased by 8% and your movement speed is increased by 5%.

  • Titan’s Grip: Allows you to dual-wield a pair of two-handed weapons. Two-handed weapons deal more damage, and provide more Strength and Stamina, than one-handed weapons.

But it says 1H increases your damaga by 8% but 2H still does more damage?

Why would you even want to dual 1H then?

I don’t think the movement speed is worth it when you will lose damage

You’re correct - there’s no strong incentive to chose SMF over TG, AFAIK.

It’s an old removed feature from back in the day, when you weren’t locked to have two 2-handers in case you already had two 1-handers laying around.

The reintroduction of SMF is merely to avoid said scenario in the future.

Ok so I will still want to dual 2h

Thats nice though cuz I like 2H cuz they are big :smiley:

It’s the only right thing to chose! :crazy_face:

Single-Minded Fury, gives 12% increased damage done, not 8% for dual wielding a pair of 1h weapons. Making a sum: 1h dual wield = more rage, more spam, more attack speed, but less stats on the weapons and 12% increased damage; 2h dual wield = less attack speed, less spam, more weapon damage and more stats on the weapons, because are 2h (stamina, strength and secondary stats). It’s your choice if you want dual wield a pair of 1h weapons or a pair of 2h weapons, it’s all about your playstyle. Personally, I prefer 1h dual wield.

In the end 1 will always triumph over the other in raw numbers and that’s what people going to chase.
In game it will mostly come down to your highest ilvl weapon set.

Don’t forget, if you really want 2handers, set your lootspec to arms.

I tried to see if SMF and TG gave different rage regeneration but there seems to be no difference since each hit with 1h gives less rage than a 2h hit.
So rage from auto attacks are normalized.

If i want to dualwield 1h i would rather level a combat rogue, thank god i still have my TG fury warrior <3, the big you are the more they scared cit.

the difference should be around 1% dmg beteween the two
plus
2x1h=movement speed
2x2h=more stamina
