Fury or Arms for leveling until 60?

I am 48 level atm and full arms, it seems though that fury gives better talents to kill mobs faster plus swiping strikes.

Should i respec to full fury? i am on a pve server i dont care about pvp

edit: also is prot viable for leveling?

Arms is more consistent. Until you get some hit gear, I’d say arms is generally better for leveling.

Regarding prot, if you level with friends and spam a lot of dungeons prot can be can be viable.

There’s a lot of guides with much more detailed information, give it a try. Gl.

i havent found a guide for tbc pre patch

After pre patch hit I switched from arms to fury, and it was quite fun. Probably not the most optimal, but I still enjoyed it quite a lot.

I’ve levelled as both a few times. In Classic Vanilla Arms is better at lower levels because rend has some use, tactical mastery makes life easy and you have sweeping strikes… But at higher levels that swings towards Fury because it just does better damage (even with a 2hander).

In TBC I think Fury is outright better, tactical mastery is now a Protection talent so you can’t just pick it up, sweeping strikes is now a Fury talent and you also have the benefit of not being tied to one weapon type. You also still have pierce howl, enrage, blood craze etc all which make levelling better, Arms kinda lost some of its levelling perks.

So in TBC I say level as Fury, whether from 1-60 or from 58-70. Doesn’t matter if you’re 2hander or dual wield. If you expect to do a bit of PvP on your journey though, Arms is better.

i think ill change to fury it seems better for leveling and dmg.
Arms brings good stuff for pvp but i dont care about pvp
