With good gear, build and some skill + knowledge about game mechanics u can do good dps. I’m not pro end game player but still can be one of top dps in my guild, of course depends on the fight.

In mythic + (10-13) i can do 14-18k dps overal without some extreme trash pulls.

WIth all pros and cons of Fury Warrior, dps isn’t that bad, of course u have some BIS CLASSES with tons of utility and dmg but they aren’t fun for me like Fury is .

Fury is indeed trash, you can sometimes do ok aoe and you good sustain but yeah arms is way better for pure dps.

Although not that great, not after the god damn like 5 bladestorm nerfs and overall huge nerfs again and again.

Sucks balls man, it’s pretty lame but we’re warriors, we’re used to it. Being nerfed every patch is just another wednesday.

Fury isn’t trash.

above arms.

You have to consider different dps on more ilvl ranges. On lower ilvl (like 350-365) is arms doing a little bit better than fury. Fury shines at higher ilvl. But the difference is not big.

I’m gonna have to disagree. You either say this because you have little to no experience with the spec so you don’t actually know what to do and what to choose (talents, traits etc) or you keep getting bashed by people who play fury whenever you play PvP so you decided to start hating on the class.
“ok aoe”, first of all… rofl
You think Arms is great because all you have to do is Warbreaker and bladestorm, wow impressive my man.
I bet you don’t actually know the real aoe potential of Fury, I bet you every gold coin I have in my bank I can outdamage you in any aoe fight.
Besides Arms is so reliant on your execute phase for boss fights that anyone who plays Arms can get top dps on boss fights when you spam execute. At least with Fury you have a bit more to do because you don’t spam execute as much, and people take real advantage of that.
And when it comes to single target, I wouldn’t be so sure about arms having better pure dps man, unless you get a Bloodlust or drums, the initial fight is slow and clunky, you have no good openers or burst capabilities, you catch up all the dps if the fight is long enough for you to toss out a few more warbreakers and a whole lot of executes.

As mentioned above first of all it’s about ilevel, at mid ilevel you are better off with Arms as the spec is more forgiving because you have your execute phase, and effortless AoE (warbreaker + bladestorm). At higher ilevels, and when you start to get enchants on your gear and weapons, Fury plays out better, first of all because of it’s burst CD (Recklessness), which isn’t present in Arms warrior, and also because if played well and the rotation is correct, you can easily maintain your Fury above 50-60% in a fight to have your Rampage often, and because of the new azerite shoulder trait, Rampaging increases the damage you do and has a chance to proc Recklessness for 4 seconds, so you can actually pop out a little burst during the fight after you used your CDs. And it’s all about azerite traits, you have some good traits that increase your dps like crazy, such as Simmering Rage or Heed my Call, also the one I mentioned called Unbridled Ferocity. But dps, for any class or spec in the game, all comes down to your experience with (knowing the priority of your spells, the rotation order etc…), your talents (AoE talents or single target talents), your enchants on gear, ilevel and of course azerite traits.

So to say Fury is trash is wrong, because people can outperform at lot of other people with that spec, so its about preference and learning the spec as much as possible

Fury is the most fun war spec you can play, and the damage is excellent if you know what you’re doing. And if there’s more than one target, oh boiii…

I have considered switching to arms to get that 2k extra DPS but I just can’t stand this spec and at some point my raid mates all said you’re doing great, stick to fury. I even managed to outperform some arms wars with equal ilvl so I really can’t complain.

To answer OP’s post, chances are you are doing something wrong. You may not be n°1, but you should be able to hold 1st tier. It’s important to read how the spells work and to work on your cycle and use your CDs when you can get the most damage out of em.

Good job dumb-a**.

What you didn’t know is that when I got my 2k elite set. Pic related.

I was fury in every 3s session. And half my time this xpac has been fury, the other half arms. When I do bgs which spec do I play? You guessed it. Fury. WoD Legion, BFA? Fury.

Don’t pretend it takes a vast amount of skill to whirlwind rampage and keep track of meat-cleaver usage.

Warrior is gimped to hell in the last 5 years and playing a warrior baseline and doing high DPS with decent ilvl is not something to be proud of, it’s mandatory for anyone above LFR raiding.

lol congratz man, you got 2k cr in Warlords of Draenor, literally the easiest xpac to get past 2k in arenas, well guess what, I also have the elite set from WoD, it’s so overused I dont even bother to put it as transmog cuz everyone who touched arenas in WoD has it. And if you spec into Meat cleaver then no wonder you think it’s trash. Its the lowest dealing talent in that tier and completely useless against single target encounters, so pretty much any boss fights.
And I like how you get all butthurt and all trying to prove yourself by saying you’ve been playing warrior for arenas ever since WoD.
First of all there is nothing special about having played arena warrior since WoD, it’s not even that long ago, maybe if you said you were doing arenas since BC or WoTLK then it would been better.
Second of all, if you read my comment to you I never said that Fury takes skill and is hard to play, I was trying to tell you that you have no right to say that fury is trash since people enjoy playing it and can have a lot of fun with it compared to arms,so keep your opinion to yourself and don’t try to prove to everyone why you are right and everyone else is wrong

and btw, having a nice trasnmog is cool and all, but I’d suggest you go in-game and do some content to boost that gear and ilevel up a little instead of trying to explain to people why their damage is low. I mean if you’re so good with Warriors, don’t you think 348 ilevel 1month before the next patch comes out is a little low?

I love how you always tell other warriors this xD

I see you changed your own Tmog

About time

Yeah but this one is actually more relevant. He’s been at 348 pretty much since I started getting involved in the forums, that was some time ago, a couple of months perhaps. I don’t see the point of spending more time on the forums than the actual game :stuck_out_tongue: especially if you wanna give advice or help others if they need it.
And my tmog isn’t relevant, I change it often, even if the one I had before was good

I am expecting this scenario
Being the fury in whatever patch where last number is zero( like 8.0), is not that great. Being the fury warry in whatever patch when last number is 1 (like 8.1), is much better and being fury warrior past these numbers means you furyously rocks. Its just my personal exp.

I’m glad you can’t actually use your eyes. You were bothered enough to check my wars page but not enough to actually have a look and see that almost every piece of gear is 370 and couldn’t come to the conclusion that something doesn’t add up. So work on perception and cognitive ability first.

The reason my Ilvl is 348 is because I have a 78ilvl piece on.

That has a certain purpose. I wonder if you can figure out what it is.

“cognitive ability”, hahah good one, thanks for the morning laugh man, I needed that. And if you’re such a good player as you previously stated, your gear is bear minimum at this point in the game, so my comment still stands. I mean you’ve still got 350 items and your Heart of Azeroth hasn’t passed level 30

dude can you coach me to get better at fury?
checked ur logs lol

You think farming ilvl is hard.

Jesus christ man. I’m not going to farm boring stale gameplay weekly 10+ for gear that just gets replaced in a few weeks or months. Or PvP just farm rated at 1800. What’s hard about that?

Of course my gear is bear minimum you monkey. That’s what happens when you stop farming gear and caring about progression. I have no motivation anymore to play the game let alone farm some mythic in hopes of getting good RNG to replace one item that never drops. It’s the same shfdst.

Farm top tier items then the new patch comes out and invalidates every item, making every single one obsolete. In which case you have to farm them all again. In an endless cycle you don’t give a ffdfck about because the game isn’t satisfying and it’s not fun.

You’re the one who didn’t notice something obvious and then didn’t question it.

Ilvl and azeroth neck level mean NOTHING. There’s no skill involved unless you have the upper 0.1% of player ilvl in which case you play at the top level and a drastic amount with decent RNG for warforge RNG on good stat pieces. If you want a decent ilvl, just farm mythic + all day. No skill required, just play for hours every day.

If you did any high level raiding you would know that swapping down items even down as low as 30 ilvl is common for many different situations as well as sets for AOE, single target, mythics, raids etc And pvp if they bother.

Of course my Ilvl is bad. I don’t play. The only reason I log in anymore is to farm gold, do loremaster quests, talk to friends and guildies and to occasionally wreck idiots that try and gank me with 390 ilvl and lose despite the 50 ilvl difference with those garbo 80 boots, as FURY.

And you still haven’t figured it out.

Aight mate, so if you don’t play and stopped caring about progression and the game then don’t come over the forums and try to give advice or tips to people that actually want to progress and farm the end-game content. Simple

Finally a constructive request, and yes, please teach us xD

@Tzorn : Well this all started from a troll post anyway. Not surprising to see people who don’t play/enjoy the game come here and talk crap about our class.
