Hey guys, i wanted to know what you all think of the rumors about Bolvar the new Lich King and new DK races and a new spec ?

My opinion is that it could be one hell of an expansion. But that is where it ends, because honestly im not a fan that other races can become a DK. The lore is complete different. I mean what does that mean for us current DK, are we gonna be reduced to ancient creatures from the past with no meaning ? Will the new DK be stronger? How is it possible that they have same specs like Frost unholy and blood as the scourge isnā€™t at its best. What is Bolvar?

Second idk about a 4 spec, itā€™s not impossible i mean Bolvar looks way more fireisch then ice and druids have 4 specs. However current DK are a mess not only damage wise but also how they play. So we know that if this would happen the fire DK is gonna be OP and the others will be left in the cold.

So what do you guys think ?

Already strong as they are.

Since they arenā€™t Deathlords and donā€™t have weapons like Apocalypse or Maw of the Damned.

Lich king at the moment. Fallen Alliance soldier in Wrath Gate.

Bolvar was burned to avoid death by Red Dragon Flight and three specs are enough. Both Bolvar and Druids are Special snowflakes.

And true we kill so does the majority of classes. But whatā€™s gonna be the difference between new and old DK or will there be none.

Are we strong ? Still we do have alot if issues.

Bolvar was once part of the alliance now he is the lich king but what kind of not the icy unholy like Arthas was.

And i agree 3 specs are good enough.

Sylvanas will kill Bolvar and become the new Lich King, maybe with void magic. Then she will try to turn everybody into void death knights. At the end of new expac we will stop her with Thrall.
Trust me, Iā€™m a dwarf.

Dual weild and 2h(aslong with other weapon options like single minded fury vs titansgrip,1hand vs 2hand monk etc) should at very least be cosmetic option for that have or had it.

Getting a 4th spec called ā€˜ā€˜Hellborneā€™ā€™, acolytes of Bolvar Fordragon, the current Lich King, wielding unholy flames of death, the ultimate perversion of the Red Dragonflightā€™s power which twisted his flesh. Bestowed by Bolvar himself, these Death Knights wield power fueled by the hellish hate and torment of the Shadowlands, converting their own life-force into an unholy fire unleashing devastating weapon attacks, burning the souls of their enemies, leaving deathly ash where wounds would otherwise occur.
Other death knights never dare to challenge them, rumors claim that even as their flesh is destroyed, they rise from beyond the grave as burning spectral spirits and become nigh unstoppable.

Dk need a redesign, no reason to be so slow, we dont hit so hard for that matter, other classes move a lot faster and hit harderā€¦
Also no need to be so clunky, festering mechanic is annoying if anything.

Unholy And blood Dk should just go to WoD(with clawing shadows,Valkyr and abomination aswell).
And frost should be mop/WoD with the frostwyrm instead of Breath of sindragosa.

The class fantasy is not there. Iā€™d expect a slow class like dk to hit incredibly hard and top meters easily, instead they give dh ( arguably ) the fastest most mobile class incredible dps.

Also they MUST give dkā€™s some out-of-combat speed boost like the unholy stance when it first came out. I am sick of being dead last to come when doing any transmog run or group activity only to let one moron pull before I enter the boss area.

unholy actully had the passive speed in legion prepatch still. after 1reset it was already removed cause reasons.

Deaths Advance/Wraithwalk and a stack of Lightfoot potion and rest is behind you.

We had Deaths advance in past + the passive unholy pressence boost.
And wratihwalk pretty terrible movement CD.

DK is a borefest atm. Nothing justifies how slow we are, other classes hit much harder and move faster, so that excuse for class fantasy is so wrongā€¦

I do not want a 4th spec. I want them to make the existing specs good.

I would love a ā€œnecromancy based healing specā€ as a fourth DK spec :sweat_smile: itā€™s the only thing the class is missing I think.

I love how Unholy plays, but Iā€™m not a fan of frost besides the artifact weapon being the coolest weapon in the game. And the tank spec is okay too.

But the only thing keeping me from ONLY playing DK is a missing healing spec.

Imagine using shadow magic to ā€œkeep people from dyingā€ instead of healing them like healers usually does.
