Hello everyone! Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas!
West of Stratholme, North of Trisfal glades. you will see a hidden area on the map. when you visit the area it says Quel’thelas.
This hidden area was added in Vanilla.
It has a long empty mountain with nothing but green grass.
If you go North East of the area, you will see Stratholme.
If you go North west of the area you will see a Night elf building with Night elven ruins.
the location of the area + name + buildings indicate that this could have been the first area the Highborne (now High/Blood/Void elves) have visited before moving north to Eversong woods. This would make the area almost 10,000 years old. no one has lived in this area ever since.
in Shadowlands PTR the area was updated to have a voidy sky, keep in mind this area was never touched since Vanilla wow. This could indicate either two things:
- it was originally planned to be a void elf starter zone.
- The area might be used by the Void elves in the future.
Either way it sounds exciting! such a beautiful area should not go to waste. when i first visited the area i got goosebumps. it was absolutly beautiful! be sure to visit it if you can.
it could be a bug, but Blizzard would have fixed it by now if it was as im sure many people have reported on it.
another reason why i dont beleive its a bug is because the voidy sky circles the area with the Building perfectly
