we are in mid season and started do get near end of the season where most players getting maximum item level. we are about the pass the timeline where legendary item actuall matters .i have been killng heroic fyraak since first week and i still dont have the legendary. when i get invites to the keys (24-25) they just looked if i got legendary and kicked me from group because i dont have it.also legendary is 10k dps increase and it could be really impactful for me and my raiding team which we are proggresing mythic tindral.
it would really help if drop chance of legendary get increased before season ends.
next time my class gets same kinda casino rng item/legendary i ll just give a break and quit the game untill it passes.

I would love to see some stats on how many players have managed to acquire the axe. We have four in guild so far.

I miss when legendaries worked like in wotlk/cata/mop/wod where you just started a questline and got X progress every week and knew you would have the item in a set amount of time and there was no drama about RNG
Wrath relies on drops right?
Not a fan of Wrath’s legendary method either.
3 months for a coin-toss is blizzards usual target for rng.
Wrath legendaries were essentially soft RNG gated because for val’anyr each boss had a chance to drop a fragment that you would need 30 of to combine, but you could at least approximate how many you’d get per week instead of just being like “yeah I might have a 2-5% chance to get the drop this week from one boss”.
Shadowmourne had similar questline to cata mop and wod where you just had to do some roleplay quests in between and then iirc you had 1 quest that was soft RNG gated where bosses had a x% chance to drop fragment per kill, and then there was a final one that just required you to get like 1000 essences or whatever which had guaranteed drop from the bosses.
Regardless, the RNG variable would offset a lucky and unlucky player by like 1-2 weeks usually, not 10-15 weeks or more like Fyralath.
And they probably are trolling us hard, the Bad luck protection either:
- is a scam to keep us playing and had no effect

- the effect is so laughably small it doesn’t even matter 0,00001% greater 0,000000001 lesser ember

It’s low. Very low. Almost legendary low.
I’ve always farmed all the bad luck protection, whatever we don’t kill in Mythic I make sure to clear in Heroic. To get them all, plus Fyrakk himself ofc.
I know many think it’s just a placebo. There are various theories.
I just take it at face value. This gives me a tiny percentage better RNG, I’ll take it.
The drops weren’t personal though so it only really worked for guild groups who’d organised what order people were getting the legendary in, or scumbags who created pugs where the only eligible person was them.
You also had the guaranteed from yogg so worst case 30 weeks =D
Everyone should get a legendary on first try.
This way, the legendary is no longer legendary but common-dary!
