okey look.
I want to do “X”. pick anything as “X”.
lets pick - cutting edge - I want to get cutting edge, I go raid mythic raid while its current, I perform good, kill last mythic boss etc. its all necessary.
lets pick - “glory of the icecrown raider (25 men)” - I go do achievements in ICC 25 men and get it.
I dont have to, win a pet battle to get a cutting edge - its logical, it makes sense, every previous boss that dropped mount - dropped mount, mekatorque dropped mount too, still does on every more or less proper difficulty - but on LFR they changed it, and now It doesnt drop mount - hence, we’re forced to do 2 more extra bosses to get a chance for mount.
if originally, jaina dropped that mount, sure that’d be how it’d be. but they changed it to force people to do MORE lfr.
and people clapping at this change, doubt I can express my opinion about them without breaking forum rules. lets just call it “sad”.

I feel it’s a sensible change. As others have said, many people would just queue for the third wing and then leave after the first of the three bosses. This would be frustrating for those who remain and also for those who come in as placements after waiting for half an hour or more. This happened very frequently in Legion with the hound mount.
You can get it in the other difficulties, too. At least there are multiple opportunities to get it, if you want to put in the effort. There is plenty of time left.

LFR is qued by wing, so it’ll either be que wing 3 and just fight 3 bosses or do the entire raid till HighTwink. Seems fair.

They’re not “forcing people to do more LFR”, they’re making it so trying to get LFR Jaina done isn’t borderline impossible due to people just peacing out after the first boss of the wing.
The only other viable solution would’ve been to separate Mekkatorque to a wing of his own, to keep groups from being f***ed before reaching the other bosses. Or not have LFR hand out the mount at all.

They did it to avoid the following scenario.
1: 25 people join LFR, 1st boss dies & 1/2 leave because the mount didn’t drop.
2: People join to replace those that left, see that 1st boss is down & leave because they want the mount.
This goes on until the rest leave & queue again
Repeat steps 1 & 2 until the forums are awash with cries about lfr mount leechers.

Yesterday I joined an LFR, to practise on my Warlock, as I recently rerolled, because Mages are in the gutter. The raid needed 3 determination buffs to kill the wall on time xD with 3 people overgeared people that were doing over 20k dps. You can just immagine what would be without them. The 4th best dps was at 8k btw.
Now my point is not to make fun of players, but to make fun at Blizzard for trying to bandage a shattered skull. LFR raiders in most cases don’t even know they suck, the game is not telling them they suck and it is not making the effort to challenge them whatsoever. Blizzard treat their casual community as no more than 5 seconds attention spawn todles, they shower them with shiny rewards without giving them any insentive to grow out of that mentality. There is nothing to aspire to. So instead of actually challenging the casual playerbase and giving them the opportunity to learn the game, they throw exclusive rewards so a few overgeared people could carry the whole thing. This is the main reason I hate LFR and think it should be removed from the game.

I did wing 3 twice yesterday, I only wiped once & that was on Blockade. That was only because all of the healers ported to one side so the dps on the other all died.
Some groups are good, some are bad. But to remove it because you had a bad run is selfish.
Having a bad run has nothing to do it, hell I don’t even consider it a bad run, because I was there to practise, more pulls = more game played = more practise. I don’t even care about the mount, I just find it hilarious that it is there, in LFR, for no reason, but to attract high geared people in it.
Did you read my 2nd paragraph, or just quoted my last line? I hate LFR because Blizzard made a system that if proved too challenging for the casual player base, would just throw an exclusive reward that attracts overgeared people to carry the raid, instead of having a learning curve for those casual players. Blizzard do not treat their casual players as capable human beings, but as a short attention spawn todlers!
I couldn’t care less tbh. Probably a good thing for all lfr players.

Also, you fall over yourself to tell us on these forums how rich you are from boosting, so just buy your runes from the AH like a good little grinder.
The only rotten person in this thread is you, claiming that LFR should be designed around your convenience (rather then the convenience of people that use it).

You can blame Blizz for making it available in LFR but if you dont realize its a trap to get people with your type of Gear to Carry everybody else and happily sign up, that’s 100% on you altho I can understand you’d sign up for it because you want the mount
Saying youre forced into it however just isnt true, its bait, not a gun to the head

I hope you have leatherworking profession so you can craft yourself a tinfoil hat (I would guess its mail armour?). Maybe they put the GMOD in there because the people doing LFR are paying the same subs as you and deserve some return for that?
Blizzard have spent the last few years trying to force everyone into raiding and as a consequence have seen there subs fall off a cliff. Maybe that was a bad idea?
It’s not the first time LFR has dropped mounts. The hound dropped in LFR ABT and the ugly worm mount dropped in Tomb.

No question about it. I’m full on board for making world content relevant and also using the whole world, instead of 2 islands nobody cares about. Maybe events in lower level zones, like WoD Legion invasions, maybe actual Warf for Azeroth, instead of 2 instanced warfronts, that let’s not even talk about.
But this is ridiculous to claim that the mount HAS to be in LFR, because “I pay for the game, I deserve it”.
Would you stay to kill Jaina if Mekkatorque still dropped the mount on LFR & you didn’t get it?
