G-Sync or Vsync

Hi,

Please can someone help me understand this gsync and vsync stuff. I have a msi gamming laptop which has g-sync. Im wondering if I should have it on for wow ? or have virtual sync on ? or both? do i use dx11 or dx12?

Just want to know how to maximise my fps etc.

Thanks
Gsync is what Nvidia gpus offers as a hz rate sync so it doesn't tear the image like a smoother so it looks a bit better. Vsync is the same but is set in the games engine to prevent images to follow with aka Tearings. But Vsync have almost never worked probably in many games. So I personally have it turned off.

Nether of them will increase your fps for more fps you need a working cpu and a gpu that doesn't bottleneck eachother.
Gsync is a type of adaptive sync what it dose is links the refresh rate of the monitor to your framerate so if you are running at the max refresh rate then it stays there but if you drop below that then it drops the refresh rate so for example if it drops to say 50fps then the refresh rate drops to 50 and helps to keep the game feeling smooth with out screen tearing and helps keep input lag lower than using traditional vsync.

Just give it a try it doesn't always work in every game and it wont increase your FPS but it might help it feel smoother.
