Anyone having this all the time on top mid? I’ve seen someone talking about it, but it was not everyone, it’s annoying because of my OCD I feel like I can’t control it or get it finished, I know it’s weird…but it’s actually bothering me a lot.
Is this the background data download? It’s probably set to a very low download speed so that it doesn’t cause load issues when playing. You can change the download speed by going to the settings on the bnet launcher and then choosing the game updates and downloads option. There you should have a field where you can input a maximum speed for background downloads - I believe this is usually set to 100. Change it to 0, which means unlimited, and it will download at a much faster speed. I set my speed to unlimited when I was doing other things on the computer (e.g. not playing wow) and it waited for it to complete. Then I went back into the settings and set the speed back to 100 for future downloads. Hope this helps!

same thing here. All day the game is downloading some data. I wish to know what data
It is prepatch data for Shadowlands, downloading ahead of time so that there’s less to download whenever the prepatch hits. Wowhead and other sites reported on this a week or so ago.
20 Gb? Oh my… that’s a big one

If you have Beta or the PtR then the download would be approx 300mb, so easily missed.

I don’t have PTR and still get this. I have everything updated up to date. Prepatch already downloaded for me like week ago.
