Game Freezing On Loading Screen Zone Ins

Greetings,

I was hoping someone might have had a similar problem and can point me in the right direction. About 3 weeks ago I have been experiencing temporary game freezes whenever I would zone in a new area where the loading screen is concerned. So hearthing to SW or Dorn is a good example.

My loading screen would be relatively quick, but once I’m in the zone, it freezes. No players load, and I’m stuck in a 20second-ish wait period before everything pops up on my screen.

Couple of things I have tried including:

  • Delete all my addons
  • Cleared the cache folder
  • Run the base game with no addons running after a scan and repair.
  • Also made sure all my drivers are up to date as well.
  • And finally formatted my system, and did a fresh install.

The only reason I’m resorting to the forums, is because a house mate of mine is having the exact same issue as I am, on a completely different PC and a completely different platform.(Amd + Nvidia combo for me and she has an Intel + AMD combo). I looked into the ISP, we managed to swap to a new one beginning of Nov while the issue was still occurring , so I do not think its our fibre line doing it. Especially since we run gigabit internet, and it use to be fine on our old 500mb line until it wasn’t. We swapped to the bigger line and it’s still doing it.
