it has nothing to do with luck.
most of people who do run them are mythic raiders who got gear / crests in raids skipping the m+ progress to get there.

lol judging by the wipes and mistakes I’ve seen, I doubt they’re all mythic raiders.

the problem is not dividing objectives, it´s Blizzard not handing out gear progression for everyone.
Noone is suffering if everyone gets good gear apart from a very few poor creatures that need it to feel special.
Even people just playing for the AH or Mining will not suffer because they all of a sudden grow to be as powerful as everyone else during a Saison, if they slay some mobs that are protective of the ore or herbs or whatever.
There is no gear that is “too good” for the content people are playing, only gear that is not good enough unfortunately.
The people on this thread who support the current iteration of m+ say it’s about skill, well if that’s true you should be more than happy to have your fun in 11+ keys, and fight with us for more people that level to be allowed to run 10s.
A) you might find more people as skilled as you to play with, when they have gear
B) If its truly about skill to you, then don’t worry about if someone else doesn’t have that skill, you still have the warm feeling inside from completing a +14 or whatever that you are the better player, reminding people of this constantly with gear is not helpful at all.
There’s a huge jump between 10 and 11, only the best have cleared 13s I think
you know it´s not about skill, it´s about them feeling special for getting carried early on in the saison when all the really good players where doing their climb. There´s a reason even in S3 of DF that is seen as “easy” doing a 12 often times felt more relaxed than the odd 7 or 8, because everyone in those groups was just pretty decent at least.
Really skilled players do not care at all what gear other players aquire. They know their skill is independent from that. Also i have never seen a really good player be toxic.
Yeah that’s very true.
Good players just know what they need to do and get on with it.
The toxicity comes from the players who are not quite good enough.
I am giving them an opportunity to see our side of the argument, rather than saying “my gear!”
The jump is from 11 to 12 and theres been a handful of timed 14s now.
Or listen, i know its a completely crazy take but hear me out. You might. Not. Like. Retail. Simple as that.
You write that post out as if you were a 35y old very grumpy man that just comes here to complain. You might find likeminded that also want to complain here, sure. But retail endgame content is m+ and raid.
To clear up some facts, no, you dont need a full set of champion track gear to get +9 and +10s done. (My warrior did them week1 with randoms and 609gear) No, you do not perform at 100% efficiency, not do you play the best routes, simply none does. There is always ways to optimze and improve. You OBVIOUSLY have no interest in doing so and just seem frustrated, because you maybe just want to “clear a dungeon” and thats fine. But instead of making frustrated forum posts you can look for premades or for another game. Why waste your time and energy on something like that when you supposedly got little time anyway. Now you got even less time and a bad mood.
Elden Ring is time gated, not skill gated
What are you smoking?
And so what if some games are gated behind endless grinds? Those games suck. Please stop replying to me, you’re extremely annoying and keep contradicting yourself (you previously said you want to abolish gearing to make it all about skill).
Hopefully when you’re 35 clearing +10 in World of Warcraft will be an accepted currency and you can use it to pay for a house.
Could put it on your C.V and the mortgage company might give you a lower rate because they’ll be so impressed
Especially if they see that it was done while wearing Champion gear that wasn’t even fully upgraded.
Wow, they might even call a major media company and you’ll get a double-page spread on your life and your major achievement and how you overcame the “skill issue”
If coping with ludicrous balance was an income earner, with my choices of BM and Ret, I’d own a 5 bedroom house with a pool and no mortgage by now
I play Prot Warrior, I could probably buy an island in the Pacific .
May be. I just think the journey is too long. In previous seasons I would have gotten portals by now be 3-5 ilvls behind max and I would be enjoying new gameplay playing some other class. I just don’t want to do same key more than 2-3 times on a single class as it’s tedious and unfun and grinding +4, +6, +8 keys to me is a definition of something unfun.
WoW has so many interesting play styles and interesting specs and this was supposed to be an alt friendly expansion and they make freaking myth track 6 stages, 90 crests for crafted weapon. Like, no I’m not doing same thing on same spec 10 times to fill some arbitrary Blizzard engagement number.
I think they will lose subs with this hamster wheel season and we will see changes. Or maybe you are right and next season myth track drops only from +12 and it takes 180 crests to craft a max crafted weapon.
You don’t need full equipped alt character to try and play it.
