pvp is very unfortunate example.
imagine if for example conquest gear would be suddnely this season locked behind glad title bracket.
yeah im sure people wouldnt complain then at all.

I am pretty sure the game is not designed that you fully max out your champion gear in 4-6 keys then move onto higher tiers lmfao
that would be terrible design, gear tracks are just so you can upgrade the gear incase you don’t get upgrades for a while.
You can just do 9s and 10s already if you’re 613.
i would love for oyu to show us how you get into random 10s at 613
Just tried a city of threads +4. Get to second double boss. Fight starts and you get to the mechanic where they throw the purple AOE down and you have to run out. This happens and then immediately when the bosses fire the spikes out, whole party except me as the tank, is dead. Key over. That must be some heavy damage to heal and probably no mitigation from the DPS happening. And all my group were over 600 ilevel.
Can’t remember a +4 in DF S4 like this.

yeah = thats the general problem with this season .
you cannot bruteforce stuff like in past seasons.
you have to do mechancis.
and for most pugs ? mission impossible
It’s bringing back memories of ff14 savage raids in PF.
If you didn’t clear them really early after the tier released, you had no chance. Because all the good players would have got the loot they wanted and quit the game. Leaving all the bads and the people wanting carries left, so you had no chance of clearing.
If it becomes “you gotta be pugging 10s week 1 or you’re screwed” then it doesn’t look good for the future of M+ really.
I like tanking, but it feels pointless putting the extra effort in, just to look up and see your group wiping and then knowing the key is done and you wasted your time.

Sure, if you got with your own group or buying boots for +10 to carry you.
I miss when we got 3 new dungeons on the last patch
Happened in woltk and cata . Nice lore and catchup gear.
But now they want you to run older dungeons instead.
The M+ squish was fine sort of, but they nerfed the cack out of tanks and healing became more prevalent than it’s been for probably a decade. Impatient dps will die more often if they initiate the attack.
1-10 are “much” harder in difficulty scaling than they’ve been for awhile. It’s like walking in to a normal dungeon for the first time a wrecking everything silly. Then on a Timewalking week getting 1-2 shot by npc trash poor scaling that has. I don’t consider it a difficulty measure when basic trash can melee or basic attack, can do that to you. Difficulty like this becomes more of how many milliseconds do you get between your finger tips plus general network latency.
Sidenote
Delves are all well and good for obtaining hero track gear, but I seriously doubt with it’s current state of a loot table. Will anyone effectively complete a set of gear from there within reasonable time spent. RNG cack is giving the vast majority rings, trinkets and cloaks. Because there is piles more of that than there is general armor and weapons haha.
Im fine with myth track being on +10, but i wish the crests were from +7 or +8 (since thats where the new affix come in and makes it harder), would help smoothen the gearing curve for players with less skill.

Here is random log from +5 CoT with damage taken from boss icycles:
https://www.warcraftlogs.com/reports/K6xq1JFgzMY2Qkcp#fight=7&type=damage-taken&ability=440238
It hits for ~900k without damage mitigation and ticks around 450k every second for 12 seconds, so it just can’t one-shot anyone in 600+ gear, unless people got stacked and hit by others icicles. Tactics issue, not dungeon issue.
No idea. But whatever it does, it was annoying and ruined the key. But apparently no one knew mechs in a 4

thats because historicaly they never had to knew them .
those were always lol easy keys
and now they will destroy your average pug.
It’s not even about game having respect. It’s about the players.
How about the fact that since 2 weeks ago, some dungeons had nerfs, yet the game still feels a lot harder when it comes to 9s then it felt 2 weeks ago? And that is also considering the gear difference. Simple. Everybody knows (even those who never played the game) that wow players have poor skill (I mean, Africa is really rich in comparation).
I’ve done most of the 9s in first week of m+ on my main (around 614-615 ilvl I guess, maybe less). 3 of them were 2 chested the others, most of them were almost 2 chested, either by a few seconds, either by 1 minute. So plenty of time left, even for 1-2 wipes. Now that I play on my alt, I see people that are so far away from the numbers people were pulling in those dungeons. Dungeons are fine, affixes are fine. The only issue, is the skill. You can’t ask for a game to be changed just because 75% of its community forgets to open the screen, or never heard of an interrupt. Maybe the game is not for them. I’d rather see fewer keys in list, but with quality people, than more keys with all kind of :“game is too hard, I need to know to press 4 buttons” players.
This is the answer. We don’t need a 400 page thread.
People don’t even need max gear, just do what you can and what you find fun then stop.
And if you want to try hard and progress, don’t complain about the challenge idk.
Plus it’s WoW, you can always come back at the end of the season when things are way easier.
Found one really good vid on the matter:
hw_survival3b_h_en_105 (youtube.com)
It really lays down how the changes massively increase toxicity, and even the argument for getting rid of crests all together i can get fully behind.
If you’d actually read the thread you would have seen it was about more than just “dungeon hard - skill issue”.
It’s been about;
It’s not really impressive to have cleared 9s and 10s tbh, it’s just the luck of the pug you get.
Nah that’s just hyperboling everything.
I’m not here to change minds anyways, it’s always the same thing each patch (arguably not in S4, being the tourist season).
Minority complains they can’t do X, reality is just they’re not good enough to do it.
And yes, time investment is the main factor of being good like everything in life. If you don’t have time, then set realistic goals, game doesn’t have to catter to everyone. It just can’t anyways, it’s ressource waste to try to please to everyone and making gearing a cakewalk isn’t the solution, they tried.
Edit : funny the first message following this one is an hyperbole, heh ?
This would be true but they removed the learning keys. You go from mechanics not mattering to one shot when you start early keys
Nah it’s not hyperboling everything.
Just saying it’s entirely down to a “skill issue” is dumb. It’s partly a skill issue but there are other factors.
This thread seems to have twos sides:
Side one says: “you’re not good enough or you’d of done it already”
Side two says: “It’s too hard for most people”
It seems both people seem to have hit on the same point, that for many people, the content is too hard.
This is bad in a game designed to let people in, WoW started beating other MMOs by being easy, after all.
More worrying, “divide and conquer” is rarely a good way to get community positivity.
