Hello
I bought Shadowlands and after installing it and pressing play the ‘Game Initialization Failed: I’ error popped up. This led me to ‘Scan and Repair’ the game which in turn led to an endless ‘Error Code: BLZBNTAGT00000BB8’ loop.
I have searched far and wide across the internet but no solution have worked so far.
Here is a list of the proposed solutions I have tried:
-reinstalling my OS
-have the game and the Battlenet app installed on the same drive
-have the game and the battlenet app installed on different drives
-scanning and repairing the game
-deleting and reinstalling the battlenet app
-deleting and reinstalling the game
-deleting the Battle.net folder from ProgramData
-deleting IDX files from the Data folder in the WoW folder
-deactivated all startup programs
-made both Battle.net and WoW folders exceptions through Windows Security
-disabled all non-windows services through System Configuration
None of the above mentioned solutions have worked so far. I feel like I have tried everything I can. So I post here in hope of anyone has a solution.
EDIT: Apparently the other drive i installed the game on is bricked and can’t read some of the files in the game folder. This is news to me, in desperation (while writing this post) I tried installing the game on my third drive, and now it works lol. Maybe someone will find my list of solutions useful, so I’ll keep the post open.
Best regards
