Game installation problem using battlenet

Hi all recently ran into a problem when trying to reinstall world of warcraft in the battlenet client when i press the install button and choose a location to install it seems to never manage to actually start installing the cogwheels (blizzard icon) spins but gets nowhere.

Ive attempted to fix this problem by
-Reinstalling battlenet
-running application as admin
-using a different internet connection
-Turning off anti virus

the list goes on I can’t figure out what the issue is the game was installed before and had no issues there are other games that work just fine and update just fine Including wow classic and Call of duty

Any help at all would be much appreciated

Hey Renzar,

Sounds like you’re off to a running start already and they’re all solid steps to try first.

As you’re still having issues, and you mentioned that you’ve had the client installed previously, I’d recommend you make sure you’re not trying to install it again to the same location where an old version of the client exists already.

Just fully clear out any old client first by deleting the corresponding folder from your WoW installation, and then give it another go.

You can also find more detailed information and steps to try here: Troubleshooting Installation and Patching.

If you still can’t figure it out, I’d recommend you contact support directly and include a copy of your system files so we can help take a look.

Uninstalled and removed all game files associated with battle net including clearing it from my C: drive completely then reinstalled onto another drive to be exta safe E: and still faced the same problem

I have also followed your first link beforehand and tried all of those steps too

by contacting direcly you mean over the phone or is there someway i can do this online?
