If people really want a slower leveling experience they’d just play classic fresh. Not a single person would be upset if this change gets implemented. Everyone is already in the gotta-go-fast mindset.
Give the people what they want already.

Wrath is not classic nor is tbc
The anniversary servers will probably lead to TBC and Wrath era servers.
Though they are not nearly as popular as the launch of WoW classic.
Of course they are not, there is no 15 years of accumulated nostalgia and first official re-release hype around. On top of that we had Classic 4 times in 5 years and TBC 3 years ago. I am more hyped for MoP Classic than farming Classic all over again.
