At the moment, the game feels like it is in the worst state it has been in for many years. Many of the elements that once made it enjoyable and balanced seem to have been removed, and it now feels nearly impossible to make meaningful progress.
For example, I have been playing for three straight days trying to push a +17 key to +18. Every single time I manage to reach +18, it gets depleted in less than 20 seconds. This creates an extremely frustrating and unhealthy gameplay loop. How is this kind of experience supposed to be enjoyable or fair for a player?
On top of that, I cannot even get invited to +18 keys. The mage class is currently in a very bad state — key defensive tools have been removed, such as the damage reduction from Mirror Images and the protection from Invisibility. As a result, the class feels weak and undesirable, making it even harder to participate in higher-level content.
Additionally, the in-game community has become very negative, which further impacts my experience. It is difficult to find groups or people to play with, and there is little sense of cooperation or support among players.
Finally, despite spending many hours each day on the game, I receive no meaningful rewards for my time and effort. I am essentially paying money and investing my time into a game where I feel stuck, unrewarded, and ignored.
M+ system is just bad overall, and nothing will change. Take it or leave it.
Everybody knows that LFG is doable after fellowship showed how to do it,
Everybody knows that it has no normal resil system, or that there is no real balance and tuning made by ai.
Everybody knows that keys are also time and gold-consuming for no rewards. You cant even gear yourself here unlike mythic raid.
If you dont enjoy it, just stop.
This is not IRL.
You dont need to overcome it.
If you still want to push it - hop on a fotm, or find a group to push.
Theres nothing else you can do about it.
If it was just a “skill limit”, progress wouldn’t reset in under 20 seconds after days of effort.
There’s a difference between failing because of mistakes and failing because the system is overly punishing and class balance is off.Right now it’s not just about skill — it’s about design.
Fix the pug system make all classes doable higher keys!why I have to play my key again and again until go it higher level and then they have to break it in less that half a minute?Thas how it’s supposed to be?
Yes that’s what I am precisely talking about .the constant factor in all of this is you .
You cant be bricking the key everytime if it is not something wrong you are doing wrong.you are playing with random people .it can’t be always them .
take a brea? you have reached the end of end game with 17/18? or is it unlimited
resume when pug community will be ready to push further
mage is 4th most played rdps in +17 keys out of 6 represented, wow has way more rdps THAN 6
every class should be able to do those keys but it is not the case atm maybe end of season with current one of the worst balance situaiton in m+and raid
First of all meta has to end all ppl must play the class and spec they want you play the game because u want to have fun and progress most ppl don’t want to reroll cause blizzard decides they’re spec will be unplayable. Example why to remove all damage reduction from mages the class was paper before removing the dr no reason at all. Second ppl must no have authority to choose the teammates blizzard has to done Q system fair for all players like Feloship! It’s not about all timer!
“Meta” means Most Efficient Tactic Available. As long as 2 options exists, by definition one is meta and one is not. Imagine now for thousands of options that the current talent system allows.
You are playing the wrong game. In NO multiplayer game should the player NOT have the choice of who they play with.
Doesn’t feel that way to me. I would argue that the game is doing very well and is quite fun.
This level of gameplay is not meant to be pugged, sorry. At this point you should have a dedicated team to push with.
With all due respect, I have troubles feeling bad for mage players.
First of all because the mage has always been Blizzard’s favorite class and has broken the metters since, well, Vanilla.
Second of all, if you want to play a non meta specc in high keys, the answer is again, play with friends or stop frustrating yourself trying to push further.
Classes will never be balanced and meta will always exist.
it’s a backronym (a made-up acronym added after the fact).
“Meta” in gaming (and online slang) is shorthand for metagame, which refers to the “game beyond the game”—strategies, player behavior, popular builds, counters, and the overall competitive environment that exists outside the core rules.
The prefix “meta-” comes from Greek, meaning “beyond,” “after,” or “about” (e.g., metadata = data about data; metaphysics = beyond physics).
i don’t know why people keep making stupid meanings after the fact lol
