Why does my game lag when I watch a video on youtube?

I used to have this problem, what I did to solve it was I turned down the quality of the vid to 480p, or 720p if it wasnt 60fps, (I’m assuming you’re on a mid to low end pc, if it’s a high end pc I really don’t know the problem) the problem (if it’s the same as my issue) is your pc throttling the game in the background (or second screen) from displaying 60 frames per second, which it wont do if you disable the 60fps option on youtube videos.
with that being said, try dusting out your computer, as dust does make your pc perform much worse.
Edit: Should also mention that reformating the hard drive (atleast in my case) solved the issue permanently. so if you want to, you could backup all important files and then reformat the harddrive, plus dusting out your pc with a can of pressurised air, that is what helped me atleast.
Second edit: Also do try to put a fps cap in game, I have mine capped at 45 fps atm, since I’m on a bad pc, but I can still watch 60fps videos on youtube without my pc lagging at all.
