Game often crashes

Hello.
In the last 2 or 3 weeks my game regularly crashes, especially when I’m in a raid group, on boss pull. After one or two crashes, everything continues to work normally.
My addons are up to date, I run blizz app as an admin. Can you help?
This is the message I get:
This application has encountered a critical error:

Good morning Gomorra,

Please try these steps here as a first help.

Kind regards

What’s your opinion?

Still having the same issue for almost a month now.
I did everything u mentioned above and game keeps crashing.

Hello again,

Could you please post aDXDiag and MSInfo here? If the data is too big to be posted on the forum directly, you can use a page like pastebin.com and post the link to it here then.

Kind regards

Hello again,

Thanks a million for the data. The error reports shows that you are having quite a few issues with programs, not just World of Warcraft. Especially some problems with the Windows update. Please check if there are updates to be installed.
Please also check, that Game DVR is not just stopped but disabled. The IOBit Advanced System Care can also cause crashes. Please make sure that this program is fully up-to-date or deinstall it.

Kind regards

What’s your opinion?

Tried everything, I’m still being crashed, but getting error 132 now most of the time.
Windows is up to date, removed System care, tried with deleting wtf and system folders, disabled DVR as well.
Looks like I will be forced to reinstall entire game and it will take ages

I urge you not to reinstall the game, the issue you are describing looks almost exactly like the issue i’m having, my graphics driver keeps crashing also. I keep telling them that its happening ever since the new raid released. Yet they keep coming up with bullsh*t arguments that its not on their end.

Yea, everything is up to date here as well. I removed programs they suggested.
I don’t have AV, firewall off as well, on this PC I only play wow and it started like month ago.
Of course ‘Scan and rep’ didn’t solve anything.
I literally can’t run higher keys atm because I keep disconnecting in the middle of the fight and screwing other people and guildie keys esp. as I main a healer.
It’s getting ridiculous now, waiting for a fix but nothing happens.
And it’s not like we are in minority, I see multiple people in chat reporting the same issues… So, I really doubt it’s up to me to fix something at this point

Here it is the game freezing at random times for 3 to 10 seconds. When I look at my task manager, i see a drop happening and the gx.log shows entries like:

Device context was lost. Attempting recovery. Occurrence: 28
2/3 20:36:20.890 GxRestart
2/3 20:36:20.890 D3d11 Device Destroy
2/3 20:36:20.906 NotifyOnDeviceDestroy
2/3 20:36:21.338 D3d11 Device Destroyed
2/3 20:36:21.338 D3d11 Device Create
2/3 20:36:21.338 Format 1920 x 1080 Fullscreen, ArgbX888, vsync 1
(I already downgraded from DX12 to 11, but it keeps doing it)

I have the same issue as OP:

It appears that after I switch from DirectX12 to DirectX11 crashes stop happening.

I have also seen threads on this subject on US World of Warcraft forums and it appears it’s happening on AMD GPUs only. They also recommended turning off Shader Cache in AMD Radeon Settings and clearing it manually. I did this and I am yet to see if it will help, because I do not want to use DirectX11, I want to use 12 due to performance being much better.

Thank you for your reply mate.
I switched to DX11 and cleared Shader Cache.
Will taste it soon enough and report what happens.

You’re welcome, but like I’ve said I do not want to use DirectX11, I want Blizzard to be aware of this and fix their game so I can use DirectX12 due to much better performance.

Waiting for a blue post here.

Turning off Shader Cache doesn’t seem to help. The only thing that helps (at least it appears so) is switching to DirectX11. Please fix the game so we can use DirectX12…

Bump because I’m still getting this crash from time to time, albeit it appears to be less often than before. Today I had 2 in a row, and 3 total in 24h.
Sometimes days passed with no crash.
