Hello,

So I’ve been playing wow in private servers since cataclysm, but two months ago I tried a subscription and boy did I have a lot of fun, the official game is just so much better that I couldn’t go back to private servers.

I’ve always loved this game, it’s probably my favorite game.

My question is do Blizzard make discounts on their game (shadowlands) ? because I can somehow afford the subscription but buying the game for 40 Euros is just too much for me.

And if they do make discounts, when is the next one ?

It’s usually around real life events like Easter, Black Friday, Christmas, and so on.

You might have it on discount through 3rd party retailers though, keep an eye out on those websites. They do discounts more often than blizzard themselves.

  1. I consider it EXTREMELY unlikely that Blizzard will run sale on Shadowlands before it launches. They’d be crazy to do that, at the time of peak sales already.
  2. If you do buy a Shadowlands key from a third party, BE SURE you are buying an EU key, not a NA key. Blizzard Europe is a different legal entity from Blizzard NA, and the games are (slightly) different, and a key for one region will not work in another region, and there is no way to refund it.

3rd party retailers are legit, as far as Blizzard is concerned. They are just lile the shops that used to sell WoW in boxes.

You should be careful that you get what you paid for, and the right region, of course.

GameStop is a 3rd party, Currys, Argos, all the retailers are considered 3rd party.

They may run some discounts on games.

Available Retailers depend on what country you currently live in.
