Game stuttering

My wow has always been stuttery but I’ve just put up with it until now. I’ve started raiding in the new tier and its worse than ever. Especially in times of intensity my game will stutter, not sure how else to describe it, sound stutters, screen freezes.
My fps is always good aside from this. I’ve tried lowering graphics to the lowest they can be, switching to DX11, closing all background programs, updating GPU and OS. I’ve monitored my CPU and memory usage during these times and while my CPU usage is around 65-75% this doesn’t explain the stutters. Any help / suggestions would be appreciated!

Specs:
CPU: intel i7-4790k
GPU: GTX 1070
RAM: 16GB

  • Did you tried without any addons?
  • Sometimes Nvidia driver conflicts with another driver (can be tested with latencymon - run it, run wow, alt-tab back to it when stutter happens and check what it’s reporting)
  • …or some app tries to do something causing high load wile WoW is working (seen in Windows task manager - like Windows wallpaper manager).

This has been happening since the new cyberpunk drivers try rollback to 457.51, also tried the new Quake RTX drivers and they also have the same problem.

I sincerely hope blizzard investigates this because it is currently conflicting me and many others to play WoW since they want the drivers for the new games.

See how it goes with the 457.51 drivers.
