Game / System is unstable after pre-patch

Fellow AMD user here.
Since the pre-patch i’ve noticed that the game either crashes (ACCESS_VIOLATION), or freezes the entire system for ~15 seconds, then printing out an error about some AMD software that detected a driver timeout.

My PC specs

  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D
  • Motherboard: AsRock X670E Steel Legend
  • GPU: Sapphire Nitro+ Radeon RX 7900 XTX Vapor-X 24GB
  • RAM: Corsair Vengeance RGB 32GB (2x16GB) DDR5 7000MHz Dual Channel Kit
  • SSD: Samsung 980 PRO 2TB M.2 PCIe
  • OS version: Windows 11 Enterprise, version 10.0.22631

What i’ve tried so far

  • Windows updates
  • Video driver update - the PC used to BSOD sometimes before updating the video drivers; now it doesn’t
  • Switched game to DX11

Any other suggestions what it could be?

P.S. I don’t play anything besides retail WoW now, so i can’t guarantee that it only happens when playing WoW, or that the issue is caused by something in the pre-patch; it’s just my observation.

Same issue here.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D
MOBO: AsRock B650E Steel Legend
GPU: XFX 7900 XTX
SSD: Samsung 990 EVO 2TB
OS: Windows 11 Pro

The following error occurs: https://imgur.com/UIyo5XH

I think i’ve found a workaround for this.

Underclocking my RAM from 7000 MHz to 5000 MHz seems to have solved the issue.
But why did this issue arised only now ? I’ve been using the same settings for half an year without problems.

rtx 3050 here, after the prepatch zones took 5 extra seconds to load,
then after windows11 update my entire screen started getting square glitches like it’s physically damaged and wow crashed in flames.

Updated gpu drivers and most glitches went away,
but game still keeps crashing.

Disabling HDR in Windows fixed the problem for me so far.

I will report back if crash occurs again.

EDIT: After 10 hours it crashed again, same error message was shown.
