for last month or two the game is take like 5 minutes to start doing auto launch when u click on play the game what is causing this issue
Could be for a number of reasons. Without more info on your setup it’s hard to say.
But to start I’d suggest looking at how many things you have running at once, especially background programs. Close anything not essential to free up resources and see if that makes a differance.
If the games installed on a standard mechnaical drive (none SSD) then try running a defrag on the drive. (Not needed if it’s SSD). Also if it’s not an SSD run a disk check on the drive as a drive on it’s way out can cause problems.
If your drive has little empty space left that can cause problems too.
If you mean when you press play on the launcher then it’s usually your graphics driver or slow disk access.
If it’s when you log into a character then it’s addons.
well ssd drive windows 10 1070 graphic card 16 gig ram so doubt pc used to run fine the game
Have you tried the suggestions posted above. If you don’t even try to find the problem you’ll never know what is causing it. Just becuase it worked fine before doesn’t mean it can’t gain a problem now.
Too many running programs ( or one miss-behaving) eating up your RAM or CPU will slow down the game starting up and as Dottie also said, out-dated drivers are a common cause too.
If it’s when logging in from the character select screen then it’s also definitly addon related (as Dottie said above).
Also have you tried to “restart” windows? That might sound weird but the shutdown and startup in windows 10 is different, a type of hybernate state, and it can cause problems after a while if you don’t do a restart occasionally, especially with drivers and some software updates.
Have you tried to start the game directly from the wow.exe in the installation folder to see if that has the same result?
