Well to be fair the OP doesn’t actually explicitly state that they don’t have a card that could be used to buy a sub, just that they use BNet balance because they’ve always bought game time.

Ah right, can you not use bnet balance to pay for a subscription? I’ve personally never really used the balance so I honestly wouldn’t know 
I can only assume the payment methods for purchasing seperate gametime months and purchasing a subscription are the game. If that’s not the case I agree that sucks, but I still think there was no need to give Dottie such flak 
Sadly not it requires a credit card on file, so if your bnet balance does not cover the next subscription they still have your card to charge for the rest. So if your country had bnet currency cards but not game time cards, generally a lot of people did it that way especially for countries/areas that don’t have the option for credit/debit for online purchases especially out of country.
The reason Dottie got so much flak is people have been throwing that little ‘just sub and then cancel lmao’ like it solves all problems to the issue and trying to shut down discussion of the issue like it’s the total solution. Especially given their second post which was very irritating, like you can’t talk about any issues if there’s something ‘bigger/higher priority’ going on which again is just trying to shut them down.

Right I see, thanks for explaining. I don’t own a credit card because I’ve never needed one so I usually just go with paypal or debit card 
Before I moved countries I used something called iDEAL which is the most convenient and easiest way of paying ever and I wish more countries would use it. It just forwards you to your online banking account where you login, and then you pay using a direct online transfer. I don’t think it’s used anywhere but the Netherlands though.
Nothing else needed just a bank account with access to online banking which is pretty much every bank account nowadays I believe.

Thinking about this now it will get all the penny pinchers off the game… i dont see how people who play off and on and only pay with gold help anyone in game at all?

Im a benefit to the game and people. I gear up do 3-10 15s on 3 classes every week and tank sire hc for groups every week. Im a pretty decent benefit to the game.
You as a person who plays off and on will never be missed. You add nothing to the game.
I honestly cant feel sorry for people like you tbh… the sub per month and cancel is still an option… it only effects gold purchases which are most bots and boosters anyway

Debit cards are standard across the eu with any bank account… anyone who works will most likely have a debit card…
People who go on like this just moan about nothing… use your debit card

Good thing no ones relying on you for anything since we already have multiple people in this thread, and the other thread you were bad faith posting in about game time changes a while back that prove their countries and or areas either have debit cards that won’t allow online sales, or online sales to other countries as well as restrictions for credit cards. :3

But people playing with gold are earning Big Bad Blizz lots of money. In fact they earn Blizz more money than us mere subscribers so surely it is us who should be being chased away rather than the gold payers.
You can clearly see as a business blizzard doesnt care about you… if you dont have debit card in 2021 god knows where you live and i think paying for a wow sub is the last thing you need to be worrying about

People have their reasons for only having “weak” cards like Maestro.
Also, Blizzard (Activision) has already foreseen this I think.
I mean calculated that the these changes might affect a few but to them the changes are still worth it.

Oh? They care about me just fine, I use tokens month at a time generally anyways since WoWs expansions have become so bad. :3 I have a debit card that works either way, but it’s still not on file. I mean, if they make a change that makes you unable to play I’m sure more people would celebrate than those that have celebrated this game time change stuff.
Plus, you add nothing to the game youself teehee.
