Gameplay System changes needed for Plunderstorm

  • Players to start at level 10 (Max Level) instead of level 1.
  • Elite NPC’s to drop 2 abilities instead of 1.
  • Magical chests to drop 2 abilities instead of 1.
  • Chance to find abilities from non elite NPC’s increased by 150%

Level differences in Plunderstorm are too impactful and allows players to snowball and roll over anyone who is lower level. A lot of players are stuck and cant get past early game because they come across someone with 1 or 2 more levels than them with more abilities than them making it almost impossible to win a fight or escape from that person. Making skill difference not very impactful on the outcome of a fight, which is the wrong type of gameplay design for a battle royale game. Allowing players to obtain 4 different abilities faster makes early game fights more balanced and more dependent on skill over RNG and Level difference. Removing levels makes skill more impactful but at the same time allows players with less skill to have fair fights and increases the chances of them having a winning outcome. Instead of going against someone who is a higher level and a better player that had a wider selection of abilities to use, the only difference would be skill. Not level difference or a wider selection of abilities to chose to optimise a build. By increasing the obtainability of abilities, players who are not snowballing will also get to have an optimised build instead of just the snowballing players having an optimised build.
