Gamer Desktop PC

Hello guys,

I am looking for a nice gamer PC where I could play in ultra for a long time.

I found this ranking online… any recommendation?

Best Gaming PC 2019, this video breaks down the top 5 gaming desktop options available on the market today.

  1. Corsair One i160
  2. Alienware Aurora R7
  3. CyberPower Gamer Xtreme VR
  4. MSI Trident X
  5. Maingear F131 (Updated to Maingear Vibe)

thanks

Those prebuilds may differ on some components so what you see may not be what we see. Those RTX 2080 Ti will be the best of the line for gaming but also you will pay super premium for that GPU and Intel overclockable CPUs. If price isn’t a factor then the best spec/best cooling one is the way to go.

To be honesT im beTween This one:

MSI Gaming Desktop Trident X Plus 9SD-055US Intel Core i7 9th Gen 9700K (3.60 GHz) 16 GB DDR4 2 TB HDD 512 GB SSD NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 Windows 10 Pro 64-Bit

and

NEW ALIENWARE AREA-51 THREADRIPPER EDITION

AMD Ryzen™ Threadripper™ 1900X (8-Core/16-Thread, 20MB Cache, up to 4.0GHz Boost Frequency)

I don’t know anything about pc… I only play a lot on it.

RTX 2070 / 9700K is decent, although not ground breaking - if nicely priced it will do it’s job. Threadripper isn’t aimed at gaming, and the 1900X isn’t particularity worth it if you aren’t into some specific computational work that requires lots of PCIe lanes.

Also if you are in EU you should look at the EU variants and EU pricing.

thank you for your feedback

what about this one?

Old GPU. HDD storage, not worth it. It’s not so easy to find an “optimal” high end prebuild OEM system. Some build on their own or order a custom build from local boutique PC stores.

Right now gaming can be sorted by GPU in the system:

  • RTX 2080 Ti - strongest on the market, considered to be way to expensive (if you want extreme 4K gaming)
  • GTX 1080 Ti (used, or some leftover at a good price) - solid option (similar to RTX2080)
  • Vega 64 (discounts and what not) quite good tier, below GTX 1080 Ti, comparable to RTX 2070+ but can be cheaper due to incoming Navi etc.
  • RTX 2070, 2080 - good cards although pricing doesn’t really make them a hot sell. Depends on the bundle. 1440p-1080p gaming with 4K on lighter settings.
  • Radeon VII - high end AMD card although also misses the price mark a bit. Around RTX 2080+

And in few days we will get some extra info on:

  • Navi - rumored to compete with RTX 2080/70 at a lower price point, but still reviews or it won’t happen
  • Nvidia Turing refresh/extra models - option for better deal/prices depending what they show.

Looks decent af
Well , at least compared to my own garbage can im using right now.

My MSI laptop is by far superior but to bad i cant play from laptop at all.
Gl with your build and enjoy!

I kinda envy you tbh

Looks ideal, that last one - should even run WoW on decent quality settings at 2560*1440… as long as your monitor supports that resolution.

Drop Optane, use bigger SSDs, even dropping the HDD for an average SATA 1TB/512GB SSD.

I just finished my build. Took me a week or two to put everything together (because I kept running out of screws )

SATA SSDs are very cheap nowadays and you can easily get a 1TB all day long.

Can you mention which monitor do you use?

I’d recommend NVMe for a system/boot drive, too… faster than S-ATA Never mind, you said that already.
Looks like a pre-built system, but it’s less balls to the wall that the previous version - bear in mind you could ‘probably’ get those parts & build it yourself for a bit less than a pre-build, but it depends on whether you want to home-build.

EDIT:
Do you have a link for that if it is a pre-build, as there are better alternatives to some of the options listed - faster RAM, etc… and a few of those bits look like they’re end of line and being used to “shift old stock” at current pricing.
