I have been queing for normal heroic dungeons on my new lvl 80, with a gs of 2.5k. but I end up in the new dungeons with people from the gamma que I think, this has happened 2 times. One were kind enough to carry me through it. but in one I got vote kicked, and got the 30 min deserter debuff.
This is a bit stupid if people are put in the same que.
Gamma heroics required 4,2K GS minimal to let you queue to it on PTR and I belive numbers are the same for live realms. Most likely you ended up in alpha heroic. By the way 2,5K GS is insanely low as if you didn’t even get any crafted and BoE items from AH of 200, 232 and 245 ilvls that are relatively cheap, and can instantly push you to be eligible for beta/gamma heroics. Also try Wintergrasp lake battles that are happening every 3 hours (30-40 minutes long) that award you a lot of honor you can spend on hi ilvl gear. Sure better than your questing greens.
Or he could do normal heroic dungeons and get his gear the way he wants( and is intended) without buying stuff on ah. And not being kicked out by idiots who think they are pro? Cuz they arent, neither are you with your stupid advices.
The three bew Dungeons (Forge of Souls, Pit of Saron, Halls of Reflexion) are counted as Gamma in “normal” heroic mode.
Which is very nice for doing the daily because they are quicker and less annyoing than the gammas but also means that you can end up there either by looking for a random heroic OR for a heroic gamma.
And yes, it is absolutely no problem to carry an undergeared DPS through them but with a green/blue geared tank and/or healer it is quite difficult.
I actually why Blizz didn’t put an item level restriction on them too. At least the ilvl 200 for aphas should be a threshhold for these new ones since especially the trash packs in HoR hit a lot and are hard to control.
Like do heroics for 187…200 ilvl and some badges of triumph for the daylie, then heroics Alphas for Naxx 10 ppl 200 ilvl loot, then Betas for Ulduar 10 225 ilvl loot, and only then go to Gammas for same 225 ilvl Ulduar 10 loot and Scourge stones that give him 245…252 ilvl items and extra 3 emblems of frost per day?
The best he can do right now is queue for ICC 5ppl normals they he will get 219 ilvl and in Heroic versions 232 ilvl gear that would bring him up to 4,8 GS, add here 245 craft + BoEs and some items for badges triumph and Scourge stones + 2 251 ilvl T10 pieces for 120-135 emblems of frost and he would be ready for ICC10 normal.
The new dungeons are just the regular Heroics but count as gamma for the sake of rewards, that also means they are a fair bit easier.
