As far as I know it’s impossible at the moment. One of the parts dropped only in Ashran, and they broke it some time during BfA launch

I think I did that on US during WoD on my main. Couldn’t bother to unlock it on my other characters as it was pretty hard to get some of the components and they were expensive too on the auction. Honestly, you might as well farm gold to buy the AH Dino mount which you can use on all your character, it seems to be a better investment if you deal with the AH often.
I have a load of bits for the AH on draenor but my character is only level 102. This explains why the are shooting up in price.
Yeah you got to be patient to get it together now lol, it wasnt exactly cheap during WoD either but then people were actively doing the content that could have it drop. At this point its just easier to go to sw or have engineering and go to dalaran or boralus
