just did one because im still somehow missing all the mounts.
about a minute in i realized that the counter wasn’t really moving, so i hauled butt to kill as many iron horde as possible in the 7 remaining minutes. i only made it to about 800, then only above 1000 when bonus points at the end were counted.
so i lost a chest today (this week? i cant remember the cd). yes i know i can still do another invasion and get the platinum chest on its own but:
i shouldn’t need to do 2 invasions and
if this one failed so bad, the next one probably will too!
in the past you could literally do NOTHING for the full 8 minutes and get platinum. now, actually killing stuff you still fail.
is anyone else experiencing this and why is it happening? the mobs are being one shot, so whats wrong. spawn density?
Before the squish, the guards were lvl 120, so you could afk.
After, we were lvl 50 and guards 40, then with SL we have lost power from legendaries and corruption.
So it’s harder to do, because the guards kill less mob
i am in two minds tbh i’ve already submitted a bug report, but of course those are never replied to.
i could put in a ticket to find out is it actually bugged, or working as intended, but tbh my luck with gm replies is less than stellar and i’ll be answered by one that doesn’t know what a garrison is i guess i’ll try. what harm is there? if it was intended, they should have said something in patch notes?
It’s way harder to cover areas now that the guards are simply not scaling to your level. Been doing garrison invasions every week since legion still missing a mount, this squish ain’t very friendly to us. I reported that the guards aren’t scaled properly as a bug nonetheless
There is one invasion that is almost impossible to pass as platinum, while the rest can be afk’d for platinum. I’ve made about 20 tickets about it over the years. This one invasion has not been fixed. Might be doable with 3 players at each entry point dps’ing like hell. Darkmoon invasion or some such it was.

Well, guess i just have to put in another ticket. whats really the point in replies like this. i think most players will always try these things first, or ask in /g. /1, /2 before putting in a ticket. such a waste of time imo :\

I am sorry that we could not get back to you sooner to assist with this garrison invasion issue. We’re currently experiencing a higher than normal volume due to COVID-19 and are working as quickly as possible to get to everyone as soon as we can.
I am also sorry that our previous response did not fully address this concern. That was sent by the ticket system to provide resources that could potentially help fix the issue sooner rather than later. We realize that these resources will not fix all issues though, so we are more than happy to provide additional assistance if and whenever needed.
We have received similar reports about the difficulty level of garrison invasions since the level squish, and our quality assurance team is looking into things now. There are no confirmed bugs as of yet, but they will work with our game design team to fix any bugs that are found as soon as possible.
It could help the QA team in their investigation if you submitted a bug report of your own as well. This can be done by using the in-game bug report form and will allow the QA team to pull all the information they need.
I know that this isn’t the exact answer that you were hoping for, and I am sorry that we don’t have a more desirable one this time.
