You must learn to distinguish between OLD quests/OLD lore/OLD stories as told by Blizzard years ago, and how players AT THE MOMENT relate themselves to current lore and foresees/speculate about the future.
Yes, we had some dirty quests like kill children and sending prisoners to commit war crimes in Camp Taurajo back in Cataclysm, but the Horde weren’t angels either. Remember your assaults on the Night Elves and the Druid school in Stonetalon Mountains in addition to your usual warmongering. You were NOT honourable either!
Anyway, this is our past. NOT our current situation. Much have happened between the Alliance and the Horde since then, and we are closer together than ever before - being stuck in Shadowlands and helping each other out.
For me as an Alliance it was well as satisfying to save Baine and Thrall as it was to save Jaina, because this shows what the future can be. We can communicate and get together. Work together, and start to trust each other.
