Gathering bots / cheaters have finally made their way on the Dragon Isles

Here we go , it seems like bot makers have found a way to script dragonriding.

I’ve come across several low geared druid, with few hundred achievement points on their account, that were acting in a really suspicious way recently (followed them a bit I’m pretty sure those were actual bots)

Even more disturbing , I’ve seen “players” appearing from nowhere, right on top of nodes, then straight up disappearing under the texture, I suspect they’re using some teleporting glitch.

Have you met those kind of things as well ? I spend most of my time in game farming at the moment, first 15 days were completly bot / cheaters free , hadn’t seen a single one, but since this week end I keep seeing more and more of them.

It bothers us actual gatherers since the nodes tend to disappear within 1 min after someone has gathered it, more bots / cheaters means less herbs / ore on the map …

Is Blizzard going to do anything about it ?

I’ve seen the ones appearing on nodes. It’s possible they are just logging in and out whilst stood on top of it to check the node every 10 minutes or something like that. When they’ve gathered it, it disappears for them so they fall lower to the ground making it look like they are inside the node to others.

Technically wouldn’t be against the rules afaik if they aren’t using software to automate it. Many probably are though.

So far I did not encounter such in the past few days.

At first there was some botslike at early SL. That means skinning herb mining and then go stealth so you don’t have time to click and report. These where only single bot at start and had seen quite a few at start of DF. Then i started seen multiboxers with 8-15 of them in rich soul locations jumping around from herb to herb and then disapear. Now i have spotted multiboxers farming herbs ores and go stealth. And since they go stealth fast you only have time to report 1 if you are lucky. Also you can understand the bots are back since the availabiliry of materials has drasticly increase in AH and that is not do to redused buyers

Overloaded Titan-Touched nodes causes a portal to appear that drops you right on top of a nearby gathering node. Sometimes (quite frequently actually) this causes you to glitch into the terrain. If you are speced into Titan-Touched nodes you can also go back into the portal.
