We all know she gets around on her Headless Horseman’s mount.

Dipped it in barbecue sauce.
School dinner today was turkey pita pockets, that’s a bit like pepe pita pockets which is even more fun to say

This year will be the year I get it.
I’m surprised you’re back on Drae, Marmar I thought you benched him forever!
Halloween themed treatos for this toon of yours:
…in case you’d knock on my door, you have them in advance.
Spambot was used for a sociological experiment which is long since over. I just keep using it on the forum for… no particular reason really
I’ll also occasionally switch to one of my paladins since I have “fans” on this character (reason I eventually made the profile private) but not on those.
Good luck there, buddy - i work in retail and its nowhere near a few hundred quid a week.
I know this is predictable, but why did i giggle at that???
Not sure where he’s stacking shelves but it sure as bells ain’t any store I’m familiar with. Every single person in the UK would be applying.
I’m lucky if I clear 1k a month working 30 hour average shifts monthly as a delivery driver.
Thing with working for a self employed is u can go over legal working hours no one would tell the difference if the money goes straight into ur hand.
Used to work removals this way.
Around here average wage is 11 per hour…
16 hours part time, no tax cash in hand = £165 ontop what i earn in my other job already
Tbh removals can be good money depending on the job wages vary.
Soo… My new Gnome Survival Hunter just dinged 10 and I intend for her to stay true to her spec. Like real true, without any bothersome pets. Hope it won’t be too problematic.
Do you work every weekend? In healthcare we do every other weekend.
Pretty much every weekend. Yesterday I did a double shift, started at 7 am finished my first route at 2:30, started a new route at 4, and finished at around 9:30ish. the way it works is this.
Find out what vehicle I’m driving, and pick up a log book and phone device. Find out what buffer lane I’m loading, and take down Ambient (regular shopping) to vehicle. On average I load 40 yellow crates of Ambient.
In the morning frozen is pre-loaded by pickers so the vehicle’s freezer unit is already running when I start loading. The freezer unit is usually running at -14 to -18C
Log into the device and select Load vehicle. Depending on the size of the load this usually takes 15 to 20 minutes.
Then I load Chilled. This is usually dairy products, fresh fruit and vegetables, and miscellaneous items like flowers that need to be “fresh”
Depending on how many-how quick pickers are this may be ready to load, may not be. Chilled lanes are usually 20 to 30 yellow crates depending on orders.
After the vehicle is fully loaded I then check for “additions”. This is usually things like deli, baker, and butcher that have not been prepared yet by the time the trays were picked. Pickers start work at 3 am. While day shift drivers are loading their vehicles the pickers are picking the afternoon delivery route trays.
If there are still additions to be found you do your vehicle checks. Roadworthy etc, and Morrisons-specific checks like Lightfoot (bane of my life!!) SmartLynx (vehicle safety detection system for use in accidents) and temperature controls for frozen and chilled.
Once all your additions are found you then have to place each additional item into it’s relevant crate, which means you sometimes have to pull out an entire lane of crates to find the tray you need. its a colossal time waste but needs to be done.
All this needs to be done before dispatch. On dispatch you are given your route details, and you log into your phone again to the delivery section, my route is downloaded broken down to delivery times and destinations. On average a morning shift will have 15 to 20 deliveries on one route.
Dundee Morrisons has 6 vehicles running every day 7 am to 10pm. Now it doesn’t sound like much, but we don’t just cover Dundee. The Dundee Morrisons delivery area covers all the North east coast of Scotland to Killin. Then in a roughly straight line west to Aberdeen, Ballater, Braemar, and South West to Kinloch Rannoch and the furthest North we go North West is Dalwhinnie. Then south east back through Perth and Into Dundee. it roughly takes the shape of a mismatched hexagon and everything in this hexagon regardless of remoteness is covered.
Yesterday morning my morning route was Dundee (2) Arbroath (2) Ferryden (1) Ballater (2) Strathdon (1) Braemar (1) Pitlochry (2) steading on the road to kinloch Rannoch(1) home. Took me roughly 7 hours.
Afternoon shift same procedure except there are no additions to wait for, but you do need to load your own Frozen. Afternoon routes are very rarely as hectic as the morning but the downside is you do get thrown around.
My evening shift was Arbroath (4) Brechin (2) Johnshaven (3) Forfar (2) Kirriemuir (1) Folda in GlenIsla (1) Left store at 4:30pm, got back to store at 9 30pm. Home by 10pm.
Today I have no idea what my route will be or if I will have a double. Chances are I will just have an afternoon delivery, as I’ve done 2 doubles this week and so far worked about 45 hours so if I was to get paid hundreds of pounds a week for stacking shelves I’m in the wrong dept. Next week I am off Monday then working 15 days straight.
Glad the co op way is easier- online or instore . The instore ones are usually old grannies but theres a couple that are too lazy to walk literally round tbe corner to the store. The online orders are picked by us lot and put in crates ready to go.
The van takes about 30 minutes to charge the fridge/freezer sections and the driver (usually me) loads it. We just grab the phone and its up to us what route we take.
15 days on the trot is rough!
Its not even Christmas season yet when people stock up… Ive seen deliveries of 20 crates for one drop. On the plus side… Lots of Christmas tips!
Oof…rough times ahead then! We can do 10 max thankfully
