Gear update feature deleted entire gear and everything in the bag. Mail missing

Hey.

My friend came back to play WoW and upon his first log in he used the gear upgrade feature on his main which completely deleted his gear and bag content. He did NOT receive anything in mail whatsoever.

It is kind of a bummer because he had way better gear than what the gear upgrade feature offers and he had important items in his bag that are gone missing. Things like professional items craft materials blightron wormhole items pet charms etc.

He submitted a ticket already but just in case Iā€™m trying to find some info about this issue. If there is anything we can do to fix it I would appreciate it.

Exact same thing happened to me, bags cleared out, lost everything. Tried restoring mail multiple times and even contacted support. They just copy and paste some generic message and mark the ticket as answered. Did your friend manage to get their items back or is it a lost cause?
